Sup Maschine fam, today i was brainstorming....i really want to use my Maschine as a stand alone unit with Logic 9.....well i followed SOWRI (the Mod) way of getting my unit to sync, ok cool got that to work BUT i needed audio....well that was another issue since Maschine dont have any ext outputs ......well thats where Soundflower came in i was able to get 16ch of pure audio with Maschine and Soundflower into logic 9....i cant put in words what i did but i have screen shots to try and explain it.....but soundflower faild!

Whats wrong with just using the plugin in Logic?

you need to use Soundbed - which comes with Soundflower - to make sure the routing is okay. not sure why you are using the 16 Channel version of Soundflower?

btw, soundflower no longer works on my Macbook, so i can't help.

however, i would suggest using the Mac's in-built sound for Maschine and using a lead to connect the mac's Audio Out to some inputs in your Alesis Firewire.

and i agree with involver, using Maschine as a plugin is so much easier.

Hey thanks for the feedback fellas, the reason why i would like to use Maschine that way is to emulate the way i use to my MPC2000XL and logic.I like Maschine alot but my MPC is dependable in so many ways.....yes Maschine has a few things over the MPC but tracking into Logic is much faster and straight to the point.....im still learning Maschine so i will keep trying

Audiofile Engineering makes a standalone Rack emulator called Rax, and it will allow you to set up Maschine as a plugin, in 16-out mode, and then buss that all to a stereo master, and voila, you have it sending on channels.

Since you can also host other plugins with Rax, you can also use this to sequence even more plugins (for instance any that need sidechain functionality) along with the ones you can already host in Maschine. Plus, their customer support is really awesome. Good folks.
