My top 3

More slicing options - would love to have an auto chop like MPC - Insert your own slice markers and move them freely in the slicer.

Time stretching.

I would like a count in option before recording.

 

1. Midi In/Out-

Out: Record scene changes, pattern changes, mute, and solo performances by using the controller in "Maschine" mode, in standalone and as a plugin in a daw.

In: Ability to play as a multitimb inst in a daw on keyboard pad mode and pattern pad mode.

2. Improved load time for sounds, groups and entire songs. This product was advertised as having a nonstop intuitive workflow. The load time kills creativity.

3. Rename patterns and scenes for better organization of arrangements.


This is a bug fix- fully functional 16 mono out while using as plugin in daw (I noticed this with Maschine in Logic Pro 8.0.2) they also seem to be offset by +1.

Maschine has the pottential to replace the traditional MPC, please lets push this product into a software/hardware revolution of integration.

It needs to listen to a midi keyboards pitch bend modulation data (crucial)

1. Control of display (I would LOVE to see an update for Traktor that sends the track name / details from Deck A to screen 1 and Deck B to screen 2, and browsing etc!)

1) Proper drum layering. Different filter, envelopes, pitch settings etc for each layer. If not possible due to architecture, then instead, pad-link option to get same result.

2) Option to export / save all used samples into current project folder.

3) Improved filter sound. More punch / character. re: BPM, any hardware sampler.

(MPC swing, timestretch, proper loop chopping all tie fourth)

1, Quicker multilayering per pad.. via controller. dragging samples in then setting the root hi and low note is way to time consuming... So the ability to choose new zone before loading sample per pad ?
2 Pre naming of samples before recording samples in ... Plus the ability to save them as wavs instead of sounds.. Because once they are sounds i can't multi layer it...

3 Wen i save a sample/sound/group it is then selected in browser to apply/edit its filter settings.. ie drums - kick - acoustic.. wether i have to use computer to do this doesn't matter.. But would like to be able to select it's filter settings from controller...

 

Ew, wouldn't Battery be the same problem then? My battery kit utilize lots of effects, loop points, stretching, modulation routings, etc. As Maschine is now, those are not possible. I'm not complaining as I love Maschine, just curious how that will work. Personally, I'd love to see NI fuse Battery and Maschine into 1 product. Battery's advanced sound sculpting with Maschine's interface/workflow. I'd be in heaven. So, anyway back on track, here's my 3:

1. Drum Synthesis (Analog, Physical Modelling, etc
2. Per Sound Groove, and importing of other templates.
3. Timestretching/Granular sample capabilities.

2. More pas please. Perhaps shift plus group gives you more pads to work with. Pad pages.
3. Pitchbend/Full midi support. If I can get that then I can pretty much just use logic as a finihing tool and Maschine as my min composition tool.

-Much better reverb. Maybe something similar to Space Master is a bit much, but something much better is needed.
-A mixer! Doesn't need to interact with the maschine in any special way, but it's hard to nail down a proper mix with the volume settings that are available.

-ability to slice and edit with moveable markers and hear only when pad is held down not one shot in edit mode.

 

here's my top 3 requested features:

1 : timestretching.it's great that the 1.1 update will have REX-import,but that means you have to do this stretching external,and beforehand.
in a live situation,INTERNAL+realtime timestretching would be like having Ableton Live inside Maschine.

2 : basic sample editing tasks like:normalize,truncate,remove dc offset,and the ability to open the currently selected file in an external wave editor like Wavelab.
also,being able to manually adjust individual slices' start and end points.

3 :recording multiple parameters at once in patterns.
also,with the 1.1 update,being able to record external plugins' knobs(for instance Kore 2's soundvariations),IF its not currently implemented that is.

To begin - I quite enjoy Maschine! But..

1 - We need a "real" sampler...timestretch is obvious, previous posters have covered the bulk of (my perceived) limitations thus far.

2 - In-depth layering of samples (it would be nice to have levels per pad with different EQ, filtering, FX...perhaps I'm being too demanding LOL)

3 - Last but not least - I hope that NI support this product over the LONG-TERM! Maschine is great already; don't abandon it! With some continued development, I really do believe a true MPC "killer" is within reach!
