    My Top 3 Essentials...

    1) ... More outputs, preferably a mix of stereo and mono.

If I was asked what my ideal number would be, I would prefer to see 8-16 mono outs and 8 stereo outs.

    2) The ability to drag and drop midi patterns *into* Maschine as well as out of it.

    3) 16 groups, rather than 8... that would be *very* handy indeed, especially for playing live, when one group is going to equate to one song's worth of drum tracks. Would be great to be able to have all those available in one easy-to-improvise without having more than one instance of Maschine active.

These three things, plus the 1.5 improvements would make Maschine perfect for me personally. Thanks for listening. :)

    Oh dammit...

3 and a half) Can we have a Full Screen option for the plug-in GUI? ;)

    1) Proper Song Mode - also often called scene repeat counters. A good example of this is the MPC series' Song Mode, Ableton Live's Scenes, Cubase's Arranger Track or even Reason's Pattern Sequencer lane, et al.

    2) Standard NI Project Options - I'd like the ability to choose between saving Monolith files, Patch + Samples, or Samples, like I can in Kontakt. This is both needed for archival and utility reasons.

    3) 16 Groups and 16 Outputs - More groups, and at least an output available for all groups and applicably a choice between mono and stereo outs.

    ...and just for honorable mention...

    4) Snap to Zero Crossing - this is a common sense one. Makes editing start and end points of samples much faster, much cleaner, and easier.

I put this last one above Time Stretching only because I know it's easier to implement, and because of the upcoming improvements in sampling editing and manual slice point adjustments.

    1. BATTERY import (!)
    2. timestretching / tempo-independent tone adjustment (élastique pro is already in TSP - why not in MASCHINE?), but make it an option selectable for each sample in a group and include a global default setting.

I don't even have a 3rd one. just give me battery import and timestretch.

Doesn't seem I'm able to edit my post, so here's my updated list.

    1) 24bit Recording - as currently I'm not able to take advantage of my audio interface's full potential. This is a compromise that seems a bit absurd for a software sampler that is by it's very nature using the specifications of the connected audio devices anyway. Please, rectify this. 16bit may be fine for some genre or old school MPCs, but it's a real compromise for other genres, and sound design.

    2) Proper Song Mode - also often called scene repeat counters. A good example of this is the MPC series' Song Mode, Ableton Live's Scenes, Cubase's Arranger Track or even Reason's Pattern Sequencer lane, et al.

Also of equal importance to me, allow us the ability to latch/lock Tap Tempo, so that it can be done with one finger while actually playing sample pads with the other, instead of the awkward manner in which it's currently implemented.

    1. TIMESTRETCH - this would be pretty nice! Maybe in the Sampling mode in the Slice Settings where you adjust the BPM. Select the BPM to which you want the sample get stretched to and do it! That would be awsome!

    2. Some Selecting improvements:

    a) It would be nice if I could select a scene without losing the selection of played scenes (in the software, the grey bar under the scenes)
b)Selecting Patterns without changing the pattern of the scene (at the moment, if I select a pattern it gets assigned to the selected scene)
    c) selecting single events in the step edit mode, this could be useful sometimes
->if something of this is possible, someone please tell me :D

    3. Battery Kit Import. I know it's a different program but I got Komplete and I'm not really using Battery but the sounds would be nice to use!

    4. Vintage Engine Modes for whole groups!

    My top 3 are...

1). VST/DX support - A must, in order to be a true MPC killer! Plus, I like the idea of working completely within the Maschine enviroment.

    - 8 slots for instruments. Accessible by Shift + Group buttons
    - 2 FX slots for each Group & Sound (well... at least 2!)
    - 4 FX slots for Master
    - 4 Global Auxiliary FX slots (add Aux knobs to Sound & Group)

2). More sound editing capabilities - For sound manglers

    - Timestretch (an absolute must!)
    - Slicing & looping. Love the new features in V1.5... But me want more!
    - Multi layer pads... Although, I imagine Battery support will bring this.
    - Engine emulations. I love the MPC & SP, but what about Casio, Ensoniq (ASR-10 is king!) and Linn 9000?

3). A comprehensive drum machine Library - I will pay extra for this!

    - Like that sample CD that was released some years back... Can't remember the name of it, but I know I've got it here somewhere.

That's all I've got. I'm quite happy with the sequencing side of things, any more complex audio and sequencing tasks can be handled by my DAW. Gotta leave something for LIVE to do! :)

    Cheers

    Lou

    1. More Outs. It would be great if Groups had their own and Pads had their own. I know there is probably a limitation due to vst but....

    2. Scale choices for Pads/Keyboard Mode. Pentatonic, Major, Minor, Mixolydian/Dorian Modes. I think this is probably possible with templates but it would be cool if you could just choose one in the interface.

    3. Better Lane editing.. like where the Pitch,Velocity, etc are under the pattern... could be more refined.

Also just a huge thanks to NI for making a really great tool. Maschine has made it so much more fun and easy to make beats. I'm alot more productive in my music making.

1 : timestretch with different algorithms (like Logic 9's flex time or Ableton Live's),for "normal" timestretch purposes,PLUS one for granular mangling of sounds.
grain delay is NOT sufficient for the latter imo.

2 : multi-assignable macrocontrols that can also be renamed(like you kan in Kore)

3 : snap to zero crossing in sample edit window

I have to update my three after the 1.5 update:

    1) Scrolling playhead over sample (for slicing, like in Kontakt)
    2) Import sliced loops from Kontakt .nki to single sounds
    3) Timestretch (still)

I'd say Battery import as well but I thought they already had that planned...
