    My three for the next update (and then any extra features would be more than I could wish for :) ) would be:

    1. More outputs and mono options (I would like to see the same number as Battery) If that meant more groups I'd be even happier. :)

    2. Drag and Drop Midi *to* Maschine
    (There are times when I might drop midi into my DAW and fine tune it there... I would love to be able to reimport the midi back into Maschine for live sets etc).

    3. Mute, Solo Pads to be recordable and automatable from Maschine to my DAW.
    (My preferred method of arranging a track is recording mutes and solos on the fly from the pads, so this would be a lifesaver).

    Extra Cheaty Requests:

    I can definitely see the advantages of allowing VSTs to be hosted inside Maschine.

    I would also *love* to have the GUI scaleable with a full screen option when using as a plug-in.

    Top 3 feature requests

    - zoom automatically to fit the screen when doubling patterns
    - export all sounds from project ( right now you have to export each group at a time)
    - when the sequencer goes to next scene, it cuts sounds from previous scene off ( like sounds that go past the end of the first scene and reverbs)

    one more : run vsts inside maschine. at least one slot please

    1) BETTER MIDI SEQUENCER :

    =>ABILITY TO SEND PROGRAM CHANGES TO EXTERNAL VSTS / HARDWARE SYNTHS (as a midi event you could insert anywhere whithing a pattern)
    =>ABILITY TO SEQUENCE MULTIPLE MIDI CHANNELS
    =>ABILITY TO SEQUENCE, RECORD AND PLAY CCs out.

    (it is for me absolutely NECESSARY to use my hardware synths on stage)

    2) TIME STRETCHING

    3) BETTER INSTANCE SWITCH

    (it's a pain to switch between even 2 instances when you're in a live situation, why not just allow to use the 8 upper buttons to have direct access to 8 instances of maschine, while just pressing shift+step, without the frakking need of browsing the instances, and then having to press "load"!)

    Love

    - VST support
    - More FX slots per sound, the best would be an option to define how many you want
    - Drag n drop from audio track in Daw

    If NI keeps on adding great features, Maschine will take over the whole market.

    Maschine is just getting better and better, three things I'd love to see though

    1 - Ability to detach sequencer (as in Reason). Even though 1.5 increased the visible measure view (thank God) it would still be nice to dedicate a second monitor to the sequencer and free up the original space used

    2 - Ability to colour code each sounds pattern track just o make visibility easiar.

    3 - Ability to colour each slice differently in a sample. Logic has this and it's a really nice feature, makes identifying slices very straightforward

    That's it. I am as yet still a little divided on VST support...sometimes opening up the api is what makes things get a little unstable. Reason and Maschine are so solid because they are self contained with super easy paths through to a DAW (especially Maschine). But who knows.

    The only feature I really really want is VST integration in maschine. It would be great to be able to use just maschine live with whatever synth and fx plugs I wanted.

    we rather need a TOP TEN... :D

    IMHO NI should develop some independant update packs, and give or sell them for cheap, while they keep releasing free updates for the general improvements and stability fixes (and some little extras too, like some new FXs, shortcuts, little cool option here and there, etc.)

    Because if they put ALL we want in maschine, it will grow and grow like ableton live and become something like overloaded, CPU hug, less and less reliable for live shows, and more and more cryptic...

    Example : I would be happy to buy a "MIDI MASCHINE" and a "TIME MASCHINE" update packs (midi pro sequencer in standalone and plugin mode, and time stretch edition),

    but I don't need to host plugin inside maschine, neither do I need more audio outputs. These would be 2 other packs people could get if they like, but that would not overload my maschine version with CPU consuming features I won't use...

    I'm really, REALLY happy with NI these times, and 1.5 is kinda fantastic for an update that is un-necessary-but-plainly-useful.

    I hope NI will keep on with this philosphy, and I'm waiting for the next updates with pleasure and confidence.

    But I would HATE seeing maschine become more and more CPU taxing, less and less stable, more and more complicated to use...

    do you guys agree with this?

    we could think about what "update packs" we could need, and make our proposals?

    Here are my ideas :

    1) MIDI MASCHINE: professionnal multi-channel midi workstation for standalone AND plugin mode
    => all standard MIDI data received and transmitted (CCs, PCs, SYSEX...)
    => High resolution, Midi events list editor
    => complete external automation (every param of maschine is send in a dedicated midi virtual port, and can be controlled externally)

    2) TIME MASCINE : professionnal time-stretch (think about Traktor"s quality...), and time based fx

    3) HOST MASCHINE : VST, AU, RACKS, MACROS...

    4) AUDIO MASCHINE : a complete audio routing console
    => automatable master
    => 32 stereo automatable tracks
    => easy routings
    => sidechain
    => FX slots, sends, returns

    5) SEQUENCER MASCHINE : severely upgraded sequencer
    =>16 groups
    =>8 layers by pad
    =>pattern slot triggering (triggers the pattern slot of another scene while still playing the former scene, à la Ableton)
    =>16 pattern banks by group
    =>Follow actions / repeat-jump counter
    =>Song mode (arrangement view à la Ableton...)

    6) MASCHINE STUDIO EDITION GOLD MAXX TuRBO EX III
    => you got all the frakkin stuff and you rule the world, but only if your computer is strong enough and the maschine keeps cold...)

    WOW

    Help me improve this update packs collection!

    cheers

    very good going monstrejumo ! :)

    plus

    7) SYNTH MASCHINE
    - subtractive or hybrid synth with 3 OSC
    - excellent filter algorithms
    - arpeggiator + chords bank

    would be beautiful...

    1. GUI. The GUI of Maschine is very uninteresting when compared to Battery. It would be great to have the graphic representation of a sample and see how the shape of the sound changes as you adjust ADSR settings...just like in Battery.

    Another issue I have is with the representation of knobs in the software and the numerical values on the hardware. I would also like to see the numerical values of parameters (tune, pan, level, ADSR, etc) displayed under their knobs on the software.

    2. Quantize/Swing. Add "Shift timing" to move an individual or group of notes "+" or "-" a certain number of steps in the sequencer. Make Quantize strength adjustable from 0-100%. I would also pair the Quantize and Swing parameters. (MPC favorites).

    3. Non-destructive sample chopping. So you can freely edit start/end points of each slice without affecting adjacent slices.

    Jahrome,

    You can actually do this already. Using the Duplicate button, copy your break/loop to however many pads you want and edit the start and end points in Sample > Edit etc.

    It is non-destructive. I actually find it easier doing it this way than using the slice function. You loose pads within the group in the process, but it is way more versitile this way, cos you can loop, filter and add FX to individual slices... Well that's my advice for what its worth ;)

    I'd like to Bump VST support. I'm no saying that the effects in Maschine are bad quality, but they are just not to my taste. I've gotten used to the Camel Audio effects (among others) & the comps/eq in my Liquid Mix, which has forced me to go back to my DAW, and Maschine, as good as it is hasn't received a lot of use lately... So...

    ... BUMP VST SUPPORT AS MY NO.1 FEATURE REQUEST !
