No joke! in 2007 or whatever I was a strapping young 27 year old lad. I just turned 39 5 days ago now and I feel like Im at the top of the hill and looking down the other side now.
Notice the crappy look on the future me's face like I don't even give a $%@t about making music anymore.

I feel sorry for any dude that bought a Maschine a couple years back and found him self having an early death and all that was passing through his mind in his last moments was "why couldn't I ever record a whole track in Maschine? WHY!?"

I'm totally down with the kalimba.. bought one to mess around with and its a great little instrument, I run it into my MPC through the air FX.. lots of fun to be had with delays and filter gates etc.. and they're only 17 quid.. it's a steal..

 

I'm about to cry. Hopefully a song clip can also be made from audio also. Then all we need is a file browser lol.

It's ever so slightly amazing that some people don't really appear to notice the start date of this thread

 

Are any of the Maschine audio development team part of this forum? They should do a reddit style ama.

 

Of course, they also respond to support queries on the very rare occasion. As for chiming in about what's coming, they seem to be under NDA to say nothing after the travesty that was announcing song layer and not delivering.

 

Thk u for the heads up but I want to be able to drag and drop my MIDI as a full composition on separate tracks just like we can do for the Pattern
and the same for Audio, separate tracks.
That way I can work on MASCHINE and drag the whole song over to my DAW either via Midi or Audio and continue there without having to do a pattern at a time.

I work mostly in MIDI first and print within Cubase...I have templates already setup. I'll definitely look into the audio part but for me it's about multiple workflow options since no one works the same. I tend to use MIDI to build and audio towards the end

 

One day, my grandchildren will be able to actually use Maschine without having to export to another DAW and make music on that strange big black box they got from grandpa that he reveres to as 'Maschine Studio'.
