analog pro, digital rookie in desperate need of help!

recently started moving into the digital realm of my setup... firgured i'd start light and go from there. decided to get traktor scratch pro 2 and since i just want to rock time coded vinyl i also purchased a vms2 controller/mixer for midi. 2 technics 1200s and a dell vostro 400. the computer is more than suffiencient especially after freeing up nearly nearly all space.

anyway my issue is that I've had this for 2 weeks and have yet to even get it setup for use. Inititially i had it setup with an analog mixer but now that i have the vms2 i can't get any of this to work. i'm sure it's probably elementary to most everyone else but i'm a little overwhelmed.

if anyone has a any DETAILED info for this setup i'd really appreciate it!
