Given Kore's discontinuation, and given NI originally was not planning on selling Kore Soundpacks again, and given the official statement that "upcoming version of the KOMPLETE bundle might not include special preset versions for the KORE sound browser", it seems highly unlikely that Komplete 8 will have any Kore Soundpacks in it.

Keir, I asked this question before and it got missed. Will Kore 2 Player get the 64bit upgrade?

    Thanks

At least put the audio demos back up.

Thanks for the 3 soundpacks. That was generous. Giving us three weeks to pick them? Yeah, okay.

Giving us no possible way to listen to them, when they all used to have several minutes of demos per soundpak?

    Yeah, that's pretty lame.

    schrage ,
stamping feet.. and treating end users like easy money.. 2 different things.

I want someone officially to state the stuff isn't re-packaged later (soon after) instead of wasting my hard earned cash..

when I (probably) buy the new Komplete upgrade , I'd rather not see packs included that'd I'd just paid for ..

remember it's THREE we get free, so what about the rest I may chose to buy ?

I'd rather keep the money for the new komplete upgrade, as on doubt it'd work out far cheaper. thats my reasoning for asking / questioning things...

obv. I have "best of" 's as I have komplete.

so NO they aren't free.. THREE are sure, but some of us may chose to buy more and sadly because of PUSHY sales people , they are forcing the issue quicker then should be.

BUT would like to be informed of anything they might "conveniently" forget to tell us later.. knowing FULL WELL they are included in the new komplete.. if thats not offkey I dunno what is.

I was stung already like that with the b3 upgrade.. where they "handy" forgot to put on the image the same thing was included in the new komplete...then the image later was changed to say it was

to me thats misleading.. and NI staff found it the whole situation "amusing" judging by their reply and professionalism seems to have been chucked out the window that day.

taking your money elsewhere *IS* the only thing companies understand.

I use various products by various companies.. and some have been taking the mick, with regard to marketing departments who are economical with the truth, LACK of bug fixing , customer service etc..

giving users less than a month to buy what they want? sorry thats WEAK.. x amount of other companies I use have offers on or have.. e.g. d16 recently / IK currently to name but 2.. my money goes so far... so if they want no sale.. they going the right way about it.

some pro audio companies seem to like pulling the rug from under their users feet OR just not supporting something.. most here could name at least 2 I'm sure. I can easily name 4-5. got the mug / t-shirt etc..

I almost feel I should start selling "legacy countdown" calendars to some companies the way they carry on.

    Another FAIL

You know, if you'd actually reduced the price of the crossgrade by an extra 50 dollars/euros, I would been a LOT more likely to consider it.

    Throw us a bone?

    Cheers,

Ha! They keep raising the price of the Mashine crossgrade.

When they first posted this thread, it was at $299/249euros, then it went to $349/299euros before I could post about it, and now it up to $399/349euros.

Did anyone else catch this? WTF?
    ---
Now it's at $399/349euros. I wonder what it will be tomorrow...

Ah, I see Thomas corrected it. Oh well, I almost considered getting it at $299...Oh well.

Shoot, at $299 I would have probably just bought it, knee-jerk like. I'm a sukka for value.

    Cheers,

I almost did and was going to hold them to that price. But they changed it pretty quick to $349, and then again to $399.

I'd like the option to buy it from my REAL local pro audio shop, I dunno why they can't do that... since that's where I bought my other NI things.. that way at least the economy here gets a cut of the sale also ;)

    1. Kore 1 is an audio card, seems to be the same as your other 2 in 4 out USB cards. I would like some promise of at least supporting the audio hardware outside of the Kore software, which leads to question two.

    2. Controller Editor currently supports Kore hardware, allowing users to use it as MIDI device. I would like some assurance that Controller Editor will continue to support Kore as a MIDI controller.

I don't think either of these are unreasonable requests. Count me as someone who wishes NI would adopt Ohm Forces policy of freezing older software, but keeping it current for modern OS's etc. Preditohm for example will never get any new features, just updates to keep it current. This IMO is the way that a company should deal with an end of line product. I'm glad that OSX 10.7 and 64 bit are being supported, but I would like to continue to use the hardware indefinitely. Works perfectly for me.

if i were you i would go and try it in the local shop - be prepared that the sales staff won't know how to use though - and then if you like it buy online or haggle the shop for a similar deal.

as a Kore 1 Controller owner, i would also like to know the answers to these questions.

i get the feeling that the new NI Audio devices that have come out recently have completely different Audio Engines.

    Local shop

Local dealer provides the good customer support in local language for their customer. Local shipping on cheaper fee is being allowed for any hardware problems.
I couldn't haggle the local shop people.
