Got my Vouchers from Keir... thanks...

    Two questions:

1.There was a link yesterday to a site where you listen to the demos? I can' find it anymore... Or was it just wishful thinking?

    2. Does Anyone know how or if Kore soundpacks that rely to an Instrument like REAKTOR ANIMATED CIRCUITS can be used also in Reaktor? With some korepacks there are some other instruments listed like massive with all the massive kore soundpacks or the fm transient attacks... I already have most of these... Seems like e.g. the Urban Arsenal Kore soundpacks can only be used within Kore... ?

    Thanks anyway to Keir...

Although the offer for 3 soundpacks was ok, I feel that since they are digital and downloadable, NI could have just made them free to users to download.

I only purchased this product in the last year and I already own Maschine from when it was first released. All I can say is I am of course let down by this as I have no other discount to benefit from like the users without Mashine do.

Its not really that great for a lot of us, is it?

And just to add, for a user that has Maschine, Komplete and Kore already will lose out on a saving of about 250 euro on an upgrade to Maschine, so could they not have at least offered a free upgrade to Komplete7 if you were also a Komplete user too? That upgrade is about 200 euro.

I totally agree with "Chanel Dub". I also already own Maschine, Traktor, X1, Kore2, Komplete 7 and many other products for which I paid the full price... What about them? I already wrote the support that a discount for those Users who already spent lots of money and already have MASCHINE to offer them a discount to whatever product they not already have and paid... That would be a real instead of giving away soundpacks they anyway don't sell anymore...

    Cheers

I really don't understand why Maschine owners want a discount. They bought Maschine presumably because it does what they want. Kore owners are being offered the discount to entice them because Maschine does NOT do all that they want. It's like NI are saying 'have some money off for the bits that are missing'.

I am well used to buying stuff that will be half price the day after I bought it. It happens. Frequently.

I don't have this pack, but I do have others that use Reaktor in Kore.

These install their own versions of Reaktor ensembles in the Kore internal engine library somewhere - it's different for different machines, you'll have to find it.

You can copy them into Reaktor (if you have the full version) and use them any way you like.

You probably have most of these already if you own Reaktor. But it's the setup that makes them special.

What don't you understand? All Kore owners are now missing out. Not just the ones without Maschine. We are all losing a product here and its only fair that everyone should get the same sort of treatment. Not just the ones who haven't purchased a specific product. That I believe is called discrimination.

Why is it? Maschine owners wanted Maschine. They needed no inducement to buy so why should they get a retrospective inducement.

If I buy something today then it drops in price tomorrow, that's my hard luck. If I'm paying x ammount for a service then the company offering that service offers it to someone else for a cheaper rate, that's my hard luck.

I know people these days LOVE to shout 'discrimination' or 'compensation' at every opportunity. It reminds me so much of the school playground where every loser (in whatever game) would always proclaim "It's not fair". Life isn't.

fwiw, Animated Circuits uses Metaphysical Function, SpaceDrone, Newscool. Skrewell, and Spiral. each of the Kore versions of the Ensembles have extra Banks full of Snapshots which are not included in the Reaktor 5 Library versions. i haven't looked closely but maybe the Animated Circuits version of MF also has different Samples :S anyway, most of theese Kore versions of the Ensembles have 5 Banks of Snapshots.

I figured as much, that is why I didn't buy this Reaktor pack. I'm pretty sure I could make any of the presets myself if I wanted. But for those who don't have or don't bother with Reaktor, it could be a great toy.

There are a lot of versions of Metaphysical Function out there, so the snaps might not be applicable outside this package.

I think you're just totally missing the point. Maybe fanboy syndrome, lol. Let just agree to disagree, haha.

I facts speak for themselves. Some people are missing out on savings. the end.

I'm with Schrange on this and it's not fanboy syndrome (indeed if you read some of Schrange's recent posts he's not a happy chap about the current situation).

With any product, if you buy it at a fair price that you were happy to pay, job done. If the company then happens to sell that product cheaper at some point down the line, you have not then been robbed. Someone else will get a better deal than you got, but if you were (at the time) happy with the deal you obtained then where is the problem?

All you can say is 'd'oh!' when it happens to you. And then realise that you will have been on the winning end of these deals at times in your past. It all evens out in the end....

How many times have you bought an item of clothing in a sale for 1/2 price and thought 'Hmmm, I feel bad for the person that paid full price for this a couple of days ago'. No, you're just glad you got a decent shirt for a decent price :)

I'm upset that Kore is getting axed. But I'm very pleased with the vouchers (already spent!) and I did take advantage of the Maschine offer. Whilst doing so, I did not complain about the fact that I paid full whack for Komplete 6 back in the day when it then went on sale a short time after nor the fact that the car I bought a couple of years back then had a special deal with £1500 worth of accesories thrown in free which I'd have got if I'd ordered it a week later.

Well, pardon me in advance for expressing an assessment/opinion. I don't intend this in a whiney tone at all, and I well understand the pressures of developing and updating multiple product lines, but. . .

After the Komplete 6 debacle (loss of several instruments, no new additions) and because of the sheer complexity of installation and updating of NI products, this discontinuation really begins to set me off of NI.

I understand that the economic necessities of the times require sleeker and more unified product lines that reduce multiple lines of attention. Unfortunately, the consumer is also hit by these same economic situations.

Now, of course, my error is that I have long been a technophile and an early adopter; something I'm definitely no longer able or willing to continue, but the price points for upgrading these products, as with most, though not all, Audio Workstation products (Spectrasonics has been unbelievably wonderful at support and at keeping the price point for the loyal customer down, as well as rewarding customer loyalty and keeping upgrade/update pricing to a bare minimum, even when the product line alters), so, really, I'm not stamping my feet. I'm to blame for past purchasing habits.

But I really cannot continue to have product lines that run hundreds of dollars, get implemented intrinsically to my workflow, and that I spend a long initial period of technical struggle with, suddenly up and vanish. It's simply no longer a reasonable investment of time and funds.

I'm really hoping NI gets their product lines sorted out; I've been very impressed with the sounds and the quality; I'm hoping for reliable products and simpler installations/troubleshooting in the future, but I must admit, I'm very leery of these products now. I have no idea how long any product line is going to last. . .in terms of a hardware/software system, KORE had an incredibly short lifespan, even relative to the state of the industry today. I really must start looking towards vendors that have a longer view for their products.

Having said that, thanks for the tried and true product, NI. I do appreciate those, and I'm crossing my fingers they don't all of a sudden vanish.

    Let the flaming commence! ;7p

Of course I tried that. No need to be dicky about it. I read through some of your posts before replying here, really respect your history with synths, but come on man.

Oh, and FWIW, if anyone else is having issues with Deep Freq or Paranormal Spectrums, here's a link I just got from NI Support:

    http://www.native-instruments.com/k...FREQ+does+not+appear+in+KORE+2+or+KORE+PLAYER

This is actually what solved my problem.

And also FWIW, NI got back to me in RECORD time. Good going, guys.

    Cheers,
