I think its a mistake not to be able to audition in sync without loading the loop. Live, Geist, Acid etc have allowed this for a long time.
Perhaps when we see it in action it will be ok, if the hot swap is fast enough.

Big mistake... you shouldn't have to load a loop to hear it in sync with your project. You should be able to hear it in sync just from auditioning it from the browser. Having the pre-hear being synced to the projects BPM would make for such a faster workflow.

I'm pretty certain it has been brought up in the Beta environment, but I will make sure of it again :)

Now that audio is worked on, I hope we get more than 4 stereo inputs. And the feature to record a singer or instrumentalist for more than a few bars.

Otherwise, looking forward to the update.

With the new audio features, are we able to sample to more than one ‘sound’ at a time?

i just realized a few days ago... am i right in thinking that this will only work with pre-cut loops? one thing i like to do in Ableton is load up a whole song and then use the Clip loop markers to isolate just a part of it. it will timestretch just that region, so i never have to worry about prepping loops/samples beforehand.

Not possible in the first version as far as I understand- it needs pre cut loops

As in prepared, edited ready to work as a loop cf. exporting from Maschine with/without "loop optimize" checked.

A loop. He's basically asking can you edit the start and end points of a wav to create a loop.

Are you guys sure? Why wouldn't possibile to select start and end points of a loop? It seems very odd choice if they left out some basic editing in Audio plug in.. I mean even with the sampler you can do that!

    Can NI confirm this plesse?

A loop that starts on the first beat and sometimes also ends before the/ore any next one. But as far as I know in case of the audio modules you only need to cut the start exactly, but I guess they will fix/add something that you can set a left and right locator to define a loop.

actually, i guess it's easy enough to experiment with (to find good cuts) and edit the samples in one Maschine slot, then crop and save them to use as loops. not too far off from how i'd do it in Ableton anyway, it's just that their way saves a few steps and can immediately loop/stretch anything you throw at it. i'll probably end up spending most of my time prepping stuff in Ableton then loading that up in Maschine... or something.

    i'm ok with that.
