Do we know when in December they gonna release the 2.7 update? Soon or toward the end of the month?

I'm itching to buy a maschine jam but I want to see how it plays out first

In the very first release there are no editing options

Mick, the problem is that you guys always add new features that are half baked instead of really fixing the basic functions that do not exist.
And this is the biggest issue with the development of the maschine, please don't release it as a half baked concept.
It's better to release it as 100% working feature instead of going through half baked concepts (again).

Instead of the devs implementing the ideas in a way that they see as best, they take in account the user feedback that they get. So the first release is a MVP, followed up by improvements depending on the feedback they get.

Thats what was written in the blog post too :)

    Hey Mick,

Thanks for being here to answer all our question. I like this approach better actually. Roll out the basic concept and leaverage users feedback to evolve it.

I still think that we need basic editing, slicer, and preview in sync with the project to make the audio plug shine.. but we are off a really good start I think:)

When are you guys think to release 2.7 soon or toward the end of the month?

Oh absolutely, I totally agree! :)

I think so too, in the Beta environment someone came up with this:
It's really nice to see how people use the new Audio module, and come up with fun ways to use it :)

It's planned to be released in time so everyone can play with it during the holidays ;)

I hope you all release some tutorial vids with it as I am pretty confused as to what exactly the update is.

...do you mean the fun with the audio module in it's finale state or with the reduced abilities of version 1.0?...yes, sometimes limitations encourage creativity and that's fun!...

thanks for the reply!...one more question regarding 2.7: will maschine's cpu consumption be like the current version when i don't use the audio module?...

Yup regression with new functionality is always good and is pretty standard stuff. But there never seems to be regression and bug fixes with older functionality. This is a pretty typical process failure when adopting agile techniques.

The fact is there are a lot of legacy issues laying around and it's about bloody time for a revisit. It stands to reason the more new stuff you do the more the legacy issues will get ignored (and have been). Apols for pointing out the obvious.

Will it be possible to have flexible,/sliceable pattern in the timeline? you need to improve the timeline for us producers.

I have to assume you talking about the sequencer. You are probably asking for ripple editing features and less reliance and locking on patterns/scenes (we have been asking for that for ages). If not you need to be a lot more specific.

I'm not sure where are you going with this. Native instruments routinely fix bugs with each new release. Instead of complaining, you should be thankful that the developers (at least with Maschine) are taking their time to ask for feedback AMD discuss new features with end users.

If you have any specific bug report I suggest you to get in touch with support and ask for a fix.

You make too many assumptions grasshoppper - You think I and others haven't got in touch with support? Think again! YEARS AGO, several occasions I and other have. Response is generally something like Thanks we've logged this with developers - BYE FOREVER! It's no wonder we are pissed we get ZERO feedback not even confirmation of the bug. It also appears beta testers are the only people allowed to log bugs and NI would prefer bugs aren't discussed in public. That's not transparent for public releases.

You should be thankful I responded to your comment after a dislike LOL ;).
