I’ve never understood the logic behind this way of thinking. You do understand that those coding the software and those designing sounds/presets for expansion packs are not the same employees, right? Doing one does not take attention or focus away from the other. One just takes a lot longer to get right.

 

Everybody wants something different than the next person. My take on it is to stop making these underground/rap/house sounding packs and start making packs that sound more like mainstream. There's plenty of producers out there making Pop and it's hard with Maschine when most packs sound underground and minimal. Meteoric rise was a breath of fresh air as was Crystal Daggers. They had signature sounds with sharp drums, great melodic one shots and chords etc. With all the urban and underground packs they really all just sound the same. Same crunchy garbage can snare, boxy kick and boring chord chops with weird voicings. But as I said earlier that's my take on it. Everyone will want something different.
