    Just kidding, mine arrives Wednesday.

Savings tip, hit up Sweetwater to sharpen their pencil on a demo unit. Super stoked to thump out some rhythm on this sexy beast.

It is sexy! And a lot of fun! Haven’t had this much fun making music in a long time tbh! Just plug it in and PLAY! Tbh i haven’t had issues since first time i did a longer session. Now it’s just...working! Some crackle a few times when new sounds are played for the first time, but not afterwards.

Tbh the crackling isn’t bothering me that much, you could always play a few different scenes with full beat on before starting a live performance, what worries me is that M+ gets ”tired” after an hour or two, not receiving clock or gets ..slower.., like it has the power of usain bolt but the stamina of homer simpson. I need to be able to trust M+ to at least 99,9%.

Seems stability/reliability needs some urgent work, should be top priority. And standalone automation editing, please!

Sounds like a memory leak. Could also explain the random crashes.

Can someone state the exact settings for the M+ to receive clock and transport? I'm finding the manual confusing... Focus vs None? I'm having freezes too but will wait for a Firmware update...

When u go to settings/midi First knob to the left is where u can choose none/send clock/receive clock, then u alvo have to set the input to enabled, ms-something on the right screen.

but this focus/none im also unsure about. My akai mpk mini wont work if that setting isnt put to ”focus”.

So after updating I still have to dial in my external midi settings when going back into a project. I would love to just switch it on and not have to go into settings and muck about with midi settings. Really annoying. Love this thing for its workflow but midi on the MPC Live is so much better.

The midi settings always default to Maschine midi and not USB midi. I use a USB Hub for my Peak, Hydrasynth, XD etc. So every project I have to go back into midi settings to set it back up again. On my MPC Live once I had set up my midi I never had to set it back up again once I went back into a project. Also not being able to set up macros for program and bank changes from the hardware is annoying as well. Apart from that I love this thing, do not regret spending the money on it.

I love it too! I’ve been looking at a Korg Minilogue XD, do you know anything about it and how it works with M+?

The XD Is a great little synth. Quite a simple synth to use, although there is a tiny bit of menu diving. The FX are great on it and give it a huge sound. Sequencer is great and makes up for only having one LFO. Works fine with the +, I use it via USB midi with my USB hub. Blofeld is a great little synth to get due to being multi timbral, something which is sorely lacking in modern synths, and the desktop is very cheap. Loads of menu diving on it though, but sounds great.

Since I’m such a newbie, i don’t quite get how xd connected to usb and m+ works. My friend (who is an analogue synth crazy scientist) told me to get it and i saw a list where minilogue xd is supposed to work with m+. How exactly do they work together? Only midi sync? Or more?

sorry if my questions seem silly.

Connect with a MIDI cable the you need to enable the MIDI in settings. The last part is weird as you never had to in SW, but once you do that, press the Channel/MIDI button and configure your input and output MIDI channels and also route your audio.

It is a bit of a pain but once you get the hang of it goes quick. You can then save the group or sound +routing so that you don't have to do this every time you plug in your synth.

I love Maschine Plus allot! Sexier in person, and if feels sexy too. I used it so much last night the slick on the pads has started t wear to normal and the touch strip is already getting a bit shinny.

I had one concerning "glitch" with what I think was a memory issue, I loaded a Kontakt instrument and I started hear digital distortions when ever I triggered it, however, the CPU was in the 20s with just one kit and one instrument loaded. I restarted it and loaded simple kit and a reactor instruments and same issue. So I shut it down, unplugged, counted to ten, plugged it back up and started it up and the problem was solved. I even loaded it up to 70% CPU without glitch. I hope this doesn't continue to happen and there is nothing wrong with my hardware.

Honestly, as it stands it is almost perfect for what I use Maschine for. If they add Replika XT and Super Charger GT M+ would be next level.
