Announcing: Traktor DJ 2

also the only settings for Traktor DJ 2 are siri/apple music/location. nothing as far as setting up for S2

 

Follow up ... unfortunatly you may be wrong .. seems like its a question of time (until Apple removes?) ... see my screenshot here:
- TDJ1 is still there, right ! .. but no idea if the cloud symbol will still be there (in few days maybe) as in your screen. I am in happy situation to have TDj1 installed so do not want check lol
- but other apps i bought in past got removed after some time because not longer supported in store, e.g Djay, Smartphone app etc... see screenshot , icloud symbol does not work meanwhile



My take away: i would never trust that Apple keeps older apps .. at least removed in backups aleady.

 

So does downloading the Traktor Dj2 app definately overwrite/delete the original Traktor Dj app??

 

I dont think it will overwrite, but i will not test it i assume you can install in parrallel (no guarantee from my side ; )

but I still do not trust completely lol. One of the S2mk3 user could test this: use the apple 5V power adapter (do not connect any NI power adapter to s2) .. and connect the orange usb in on S2 with the 5 V connector (usb A/B cable). Means use usb in for powering only.Does the ipad (which is connected on ipad port) now still work with S2 ?? .. if yes, then I assume a standard 5V power bank (instead apple power connector) should work too

 

Just tried from a power bank and it works i presume it would need to be a decent one the one used is 40000mh bank.

As i see, there is no chance to record mix in the nu Traktor DJ2. (iPad app)
Any chance to record a mix?
Any Idea?

'available soon' .. for now you can only record with an connected external device. Maybe there are apps also available recording iOS audio in background, don't know.

Another workaround which could work (I just tested) start the ios recorder in background, the whole session gets stored as video (maybe not the best idea for longer sessions?, also don't know about audio quality .. but seems to work at least)
