Yes, in fact I was pointing it as most possible source of leaks. People at Serato wishlist post ask for NAMM news and I used the same Santa comment.
I think NI has some “bunnies in the hat” but will require a bit more patience from users who want to see them. Almost we got updates and new hardware! Maybe dissapointing but a engine start as I said.

My bigger wishes are from the iOS side and that label at s2mk3 got me excited...

for me the missing link was a decent main controller, well now thats been adressed and it comes with the 3, looking at the pics im not expecting alot but surely theres more to come as paying $50 for this upgrade seems a bit to much to ask right now as it stands.

Is there a pre-order for 3? Also I was thinking of picking up a 3rd Z2. If I buy it now will I get a TSP 3 license with it when it drops?

    Dear Native Instruments,

I have some questions instead of the pages of bickering that I've had to read to find no answer to here.

    1. Ableton Link: Does it work in Auto Master mode so we can actually mix properly? Or are we still stuck with a useless button when we refuse to use Master Tempo Sync (we have jog wheels and ears we like to use)

    2. What does the MIDI Mapping Interface look like? Have you added anything useful like an extra couple of modifiers per control, taking it from 2 to 3 or 4?

    3. If the Raw Audio to Mixer button/tickbox is active, does that also bypass the mixer FX and/or the 4 FX banks?

    4. You say any Soundcard, what about when you plug Pioneer CDJ2000NXS2's and a DJM900NXS2 together on a CAT5 network the DJM gives the option to be used as a USB hub and the CDJ's do their MIDI and display info through the DJM to and from the software? This literally reduces the number of USB's you have to plug in to 1 for upto 4 decks and the mixer; with DJ changeovers on the NXS2 having 2 USB channels it makes a much quicker setup and disappear this way.

    5. Does the Info Button on Pioneer CDJ's show anything but the Picture associated with the Track..? I want Key and BPM and Time info or even a choice of what is displayed here not a pointless picture.

I'm no pro or expert, but the update is not a new Traktor, all of the HiD and integration stuff, as well any major rewrite has not been done.

What is happening, is better audio engine via Zplane, and the new S4, some effects too. Oh and the merge of the Traktor Scratch Pro.

Although many users including yourself have valid requests, I would not expect those issues to be answered until the complete rewrite and change happens, which they have said will happen.

The confusing part is the name of this update is Traktor3. My guess is that is for an initial change and revenue to be put towards the final product.

Not making light of you post. But I think users are excited about Traktor and want a lot from this update. The first announcement made it sound like a complete rebuild of Traktor would be Traktor3. They don't make it clear on the sales page that it's still the same old code. Can't say I blame them, people buy shiney new things.

I'll still be giving my money for the S4mk3 and others will pay for the upgrade/update, hopefully this money and hype will bring the features you listed sooner than later.

DJTechTools about Mixer Bypass Mode: Editor’s Update 9/10: Apparently this was a feature that NI was thinking of building, but will not be in the new Traktror Pro 3.

Do the s2 mk3 and s4 mk3 have the same quality sound card?

I agree is seems this is a final update to traktor pro as we know it, reading between the lines and other things, i think they will release a seperate code base for stand alone units and the future of traktor, i guess they had planned to release before Christmas but it isnt ready so using this as as stop gap and give themselves another year to complete what would be a massive undertaking.

Kinda surprised NI hasn't teased or released videos or mix sets which highlight the new engine and Mixer FX.

Anyone know when the review embargo ends? People outside NI must have it by this point...

Everyone will be able to try out the new S2 and S4 at ADE from October 18 to 20, which is also when TP3 is released. So I assume the reviews will drop on October 18 as well.

    Only 8 more days...

I do extensive midi mapping with Traktor Scratch Pro on various NI/non-NI controllers, will upgrading to Traktor Pro 3 mean i have to remap all my controllers? Will there be a smooth transition during the upgrade? How will the midi mapping interface be with the new Traktor? Will we be able to do the same complicating commands as the current Traktor?

So is TP3 the only version now? Asking as one of the screenshots on the product page shows "Traktor Scratch Pro" in the title bar rather than "Traktor Pro"
