I can not save ensembles as I usually used in the former versions. In R 5.5.1 everytime I want save an ensemble (not save as...), Reaktor looks for some folder to do it instead of simply saving it and overwriting the existing one. Annoying and a real pain in the a..!

Reaktor always did this with R5 Library Ensembles.

also you need to designate where your User folder is in your Reaktor preferences.

This is more than ridiculous! ANY windows program reacts more user-friendly, what if I do NOT want have a User Preferences Folder? I have many different type of ensembles divided in sound-specific folders. I Do NOT want to look where they are are everytime I change something.
Simply save my ensembles and BASTA!
And beyond stupidity is the new Raktor 5 "feature": every time I double-click an ensemble for opening it, it opens an empty one!
    WTF!

fwiw, Reaktor has always had a specific Users Library

this does not sound right... maybe you need to contact support.

or reinstall Reaktor 5.5.1, open it in Standalone Mode and check the pathways to your Libraries.

I have to agree, this is absolutely ridiculous!
For example, I open Reaktor, go to Factory tab/New Additions/Synthesizer/Lazerbass

After Lazerbass is open I go to File/Save Ensemble and...
Reaktor opens a folder where I was working a few days ago (not folder where Lazerbass is located)

And the same situation with any other ensemble.
Were is no reason to have "Save" command which actually works like "Save As".

Yes I have correct addresses for Factory Content and User Content in Reaktor's Preferences.

as i said this is to protect the Factory Library from being overwritten.

if you edit an Ens in the Factory Library you have to save it in you User Folder.

please remember that Reaktor updates overwrite the Factory Library so any changes that you have made and saved in the the Factory Library Folder will be overwritten.

Thanks for your explanation and I understand why the Save button works as Save As in case of factory ensembles. It still doesn't sound logically to make a new copy just because of I've added one or two presets to the ensemble :)

But what about ensembles from User content? When you loaded ensemble to Reaktor and will try to Save Ensemble As... or even Save Ensemble Copy As... - you will not directed to the place where this ensemble is located. I have exact such a situation...

Anyway this is just a small inconvenience, what can't change my attitude to such a great synthesizer as Reaktor.
