Sorry if this looks like it's been answered before but I really don't get it...so here I go:

I've got a BCD 3000 since a couple of days, functions mapped perfectly to Traktor 3.4 thanks to a .tks file I found in this forum.. (thank you guys!)

Now, I'd like to connect a mic to it and talk over the tracks being played. I know that the mic is assigned to Deck A, but my question is, can I still play a track on Deck B and use the mic to talk over at the same time?

The answer I got from Behringer support is this --> "The microphone input is assigned to Deck A.

You will need to activate the switch "EXT IN A" on the BCD3000 (you can also do this sending a MIDI Note command to the BCD3000 - MIDI note 29)

Note - this will mute any audio files currently being played in the software. "

So according to them, it will mute ANY deck playing at the time the mic is on...somehow it doesn't make sense, does it?

Could anyone help with that? :S

As you have Traktor full version you can playback both decks if you create a third deck with external input. ;)

But to get the mic signal from inputs 1+2 you have to switch them to Mic which you can do either by switching it in the control panel (on PC) or via a Program change with PRG1 on channel 1 to the BCD.

Thank you for your quick reply DJ Mike...could you please ellaborate a little though? I'm a noob when it comes to this kind of issues

How can I create a third deck with external input?

(I'm on a PC by the way and I only use BCD 3000 and Traktor 3.4 in case it matters, no other hardware of any kind.)

Would it be too much to ask you to guide me through this a little more detailed?

thank you so much, in advance...
