    Hi,

Just wondered if anyone here, from NI or otherwise, had any word on the estimated update for NI Komplete's version of Spektral Delay for DXi?

    Thanks!

Spektral Delay Komplete 2 DXi update

    Hello,
the Spektral Delay DXi version for Komplete 2 is in the last test stage. If nothing unexpected happens we are about to put it online.

I just got this bundle today, and was fairly disappointed not to play with Spektral as well. Can you confirm that the sample files and patches are missing as well, and that the VST version is broken? It simply bombs Sonar 3 when I try to use it.

Also, wouldn't it be a good idea to put this information on the registration page that comes up, or on the updates page?

I've installed Spektral Delay on both a Mac and PC. I know that on the Mac you needed to search around for the preset files and such, but they are indeed there.

In transitioning from the Mac to the PC, and running Sonar 3.1 on the PC, indeed the DXi version is missing...however, we can see from this thread that it's soon to be delivered. The VST version doesn't run very well on Sonar or Project 5, audio is very fuzzy and attenuated. Not sure if there are missing files or not...haven't looked, since Spektral has obvious problems as either DXi or VST.

That said, I've played around a lot with Spektral, it's a fantastic piece of kit, as they say. Lots of delay possibilities, and overall sound enhancement/mangling fun for the entire family. Some truly gorgeous sounds available, and the presets are most excellent as well as a good learning tool. Make sure to spend some time with the PDF version of the manual, you'll find that in the install directory where you put Spektral on your box.

If you like this sort of thing, you might want to check out the excellent world of convolved reverb. There is a freebie VST called "SIR" you can download, then I'd check out a set of Impulse files created called "Spectral Relativity". Lots of amazing sounds to add to your sonic arsenal as well.

How about DXi for original owners

Come on I paid full price for this like 2 years ago and DXi *STILL* doesn't work in Sonar 3.1.

Will this planned upgrade be available to original owners as well? (Right now the product has been effectively useless to me for a year and a half)
