Count me in for that bag also.
This situation with the carbon boxes can no longer exist .
I carry my X1 many times from studio to home to gigs i play and this box is just a bundle in my backpack.
Plus it is bad for the "traktor" brand name !

 

Hey Karlos, I know it's not your fault, but have you manaaged to get an official response from NI yet? Their silence is deafening!

I got my second one on ebay in the end from a US seller. Had to pay £12 import duty :angry: but it was worth it. Looks sweet.

There's 2 listings for bags right now... one of them is in a wrapped cover, and the traktor logo is a thin font. (the silk screening on mine is thick lettering, and bleeds a bit. The legit one looks like it has a barcode tag on it.

The seams look different on the one I got.

Mine has a flap that covers the zipper all the way around.

The "tight fit" is nowhere to be found on my bags. they're actually very loose. There is no velcro anywhere on the bag. Is there supposed to be?

The sides are flimsy, and do not hold shape. The stitching is not very straight on the sides.

Basically, they look like crap, and are oversized. I can almost fit both of my units in a single bag.

I'll add pics in a bit... but did I get bamboozled?

I can in fact get both of my controllers in a single bag.

Can someone else with a bag from NI confirm that my silk screening is wrong? If I got knock offs, I'm going to try to send them back to the guy. I just don't believe that these are the real deal.

If they are, I have no idea what all the buzz over these bags are. My versions are garbage IMO, and are not what I expected at all. Especially not for $80 bucks.

There is also no Native Instruments (NI) logo on the sides of the bag at either end.

WOW, those definately are fakes!
My bag does have the N.I. Logo on both sides and also the TRAKTOR writings looks different then the one on the bags in your pics, my bag is thicker and seems way more solid and of way of better quality, the zipper on the real bags goes allround so you can remoxe the top + most importantly the whole velcro-foldaway-kontrollerstand-thing seem to be missing inside your bag! You're not supposed to put the kontroller on top of the bag but on those things I mentioned!

You should definately send them back!

You can tell they are fake very easily, i dont really need to explain just compare the piccies to those in this post i made at DJTTs.

Well for a start you are definitely entitled to your money back.
No question about that , he mis-sold you an item by false description.

Hes broken a whole host of eBay rules and NI copyrights.

I think the US has similar laws to UK called Distance Selling Laws which basically give you the right to a refund within a certain number of days but regardless of that he has sold you a bunch of crap that is not what it is advertised as.

Ive reported this to the right people so lets see what is said this end.

Obviously the best path of action with any eBay problem is contact the Seller first. He may just refund you as he wont want the trouble.

After that i guess you need to contact eBay directly.

If he tries to convince you they arent fake show him this thread. I think he may think twice about messing with you if he realises that a big company like NI may bite his ass..!

Sent a message to the other auction's seller. He confirmed that the bags he is selling are the legitimate NI ones.

Even though I have yet to hear back from the seller of the fake ones, I have bought 2 more from the other auction.

Can't wait to have em in my case.

Had to modify the hell out of my coffin to get 2 Kontrol X1's to fit side by side. Was a good project though. It's sweet because I have a DJ come in and spin for part of my sets, and he uses Traktor Pro and the Audio 2. He can just slide in, unplug one of my controllers, and get going. Works great for tagging as well, if only he could use vinyl lol.

Please can we have a definitive response to this question from NI please? They must be able to tell us by now when these bags will be in the stores in the UK. I first posted this question some time ago now and I'm a little bit disappointed with the lack of response, despite Karlos doing his best to get an answer on my behalf...

 

Can't give you an official answer but I can say the next while it sounds horrendous is actually just 8 days away. Agreed we should all have the bags but given the choice of a really shoddy one that falls apart as you gaze upon it or a really good one that lives up to the design specs then I'll take the latter even if I do have to wait a couple of weeks more... but thats just me.... YMMV

 

Ok guys the Official word is "They'll be back in store in April."
That was the exact answer, no exact date so please dont ask.

Im sure there will be an announcement nearer the time.

Got my new bags in today from a different seller. MUCH BETTER! These things are awesome. And they fit nicely in my Technics hard-case, without stealing too much room for all the other things there.

Now to see if I get refunded from the other guy. Tracking shows it was delivered to him today. Matter of fact, I'm going to check my eBay, and see if he's done that yet.
