McAffee always deletes my Pro 53 exe because it recognizes it as a newly found virus.

    Anybody experienced that too?

Never had it happen here that I was aware of, sorry. I happily uninstalled McAfee yesterday and installed the new Microsoft Security Essentials.

Hmm, on second thought, maybe it did. I don't have the exe anywhere. I wonder if McAfee killed it. The VST is still in my VST folder. I thought maybe I lost the standalone version when I upgraded from XP to Vista, but maybe McAfee ate it. Hmm.

yeah, support already told me, that they are aware of the situation, unfortunately they did not manage to contact mc affee on this issue and they "closed" my ticket because of mc affee not being reachable for them.

    McAffee SUUUUUXXXXXX!

Bought it one time and it slowed my 2-gHz down to a crawl, using almost 100% of its processing power,. Took forever to completely delete it, too, have to hunt down and kill everything to get the machine to work right. Now I use AVG and all is well.

McAFFEE is the freakin' Virus! Get rid of it! --and make sure you get rid of ALL of it, 'cause if anything shows up in your Task Manager "Processes" list that starts with "Mc", you haven't killed it all.

Hehe, yes, that's what I did. Suddenly my DAW worked a lot smoother. Mc Afee is crazy :( Using AVG now as well.
