I was just messing with the demo of Presonus Studio One, and like it a lot. I loaded up Maschine and it was great using these two together. Anyone, try these two out together? If so, how do you like it? I'm not sure whether to get the audio komplete 6 or a presonus 44 vsl interface. When you buy any of the presonus interfaces you get a free upgrade to studio one version 2.0 producer.

With the audio komplete 6, this usually means NI has something new coming out. I bet an audio komplete 7 or something. So maybe that with Traktor 2 update, new dj mixer or presonus, and just buy a bunch of vsts with my holiday funds. What do you think?

    Hey guys,

They are having a promotion. If you buy a presonus studio one interface-vsl 22, 44 etc you get a free upgrade to Presonus Studio One Producer. Studio One artist comes with the interface. http://forums.presonus.com/posts/list/15998.page

I don't have any of their products. I just have the studio one demo. From the outside Presonus is on it. They are on youtube, staff interacting on the forums, webinar's, tutorials etc. I'm suprised NI hasn't won that many awards with Maschine. Presonus has racked up so many on Studio One alone its crazy.

I'm trying to decide whether to get the promotion for presonus interface or get the audio komplete 6 and upgrade my traktor and dj set-up. The presonus interface is $300, plus to upgrade to producer is $200 (I think).

I think presonus can make a controller for sampler one! Thanks for the input and template.

I'm using it as my source for drums n samples, it's easy to drag n drop everything with it. I also have it set up to trigger maschines pads right in the software without the need for typical midi solution, meaning I can track in maschine or trigger midi all the while never leaving the maschine software, very cool, other daws it was sort of a pain to figure this out, s1 its just easy...

Thats all I use is maschine inside of S1v2. I love Studio One! workflow is easy and simple.

All I do is make patterns into scenes then record a maschine track on S1v2 triggering each scene with a midi note.

Or drag and drop my patterns into S1v2 and make my beat like that...you cant go wrong no way you use S1v2 and Maschine..

I have tried it, and i can tell you if you own a maschine studio its the same old crap where there is no working templates. I got all excited about it because i read an article about it saying it was compatible with Studio but its not. You know while I'm mid rant, Native Instruments need to start taking a bit more responsibility for this woefull lack of support for Maschine Studio. You are the people with all the knowledge about how to get correct lay out for templates no one else. I wish I had bought a plane old Mark 2. I would be using with traktor, any daw wanted to plus midi setup for quite a few synths. But no I went for the all singing all dancing top of the range model that does less and no one cares about. It even states in their own knowledge base that it works with traktor so maybe even they don't know it doesn't

I want to make music, I have no real knowledge creating this type of thing, but from what i have read up on even people that have made previous templates for other formats struggle. I was lead to believe that these were available out of the box, which was in fact a lie. Why do they provide for one and not the other?
Anyhoo this is kind of hijacking the topic

i do make electronic music, i find it strange that every other piece of kit works as was advertised and manufacturers are normally a lot more supportive. thats all im getting at. Doesnt do what they promised.

I use Studio One and it is the most intuitive and easiest to troubleshoot when using Maschine. I dont need all the templates and all that because My keyboard controller does that heavy lifting for Maschine.

Studio One has been my main DAW for over a half a year and I love it. There are templates for Studio One and Maschine you have to get them from Presonus. If you look up Maschine in your controller list you will see instructions on how to use the template and what you need to do. Also do not forget to look at the Exchange for updates on templates and such.

No, in all honesty you dont.

On a scale of difficulty from 1-10 in learning a piece of gear, Maschine would be about a 2 or 3, but learning to use any DAW effectively is a minimum of a 8 or 9.

If there is any genre that Maschine is most suited for, it would be hip hop...so save your time, money and frustration and just learn maschine isnide and out so that everything you do is smooth operation.
