    This controller is now discontinued. As a result there is a significant price drop on this player which is making me think about getting one. I checked throughout the forums here and on Denon to see if anyone is successfully using this with Traktor but I only find the usual rants.

    I would like to here from the happy users. Especially if you're using x2 units.

    Thanx

    I've been using the 5500 for about a year now with Traktor and Denon's TKS file and I have to say it's been an absolute dream. If you can pick up on on a deal then I would say go for it.

    Thanx bro, I'm glad to here you love em. Unfortunately for me the price drop will not hit Canada in the near future. I own a pair of dn-s 3500 so the 5500 would of made a perfect upgrade for me but I went and got a pair of dn-s 1200 instead.

    question:
    in wich way do use use the 5500 + traktor?

    i have tried the 5500 with traktor and i have not managed to get the platter turning. no matter which .tks i am using.

    same with my 3700er. the unit works perfect with timecode, but as soon as you try to use it with midi the 9 inch platter is useless.

    so which tks are you using, or are you using it over midi, and abandon the option of using the platter meanwhile?

    cheers

    I don't think he cares for the rotating platter. The unit works like a dream for him as is.

    ?

    but how is he scratching?
    and why is he talking about that it is working "like a dream?"

    using the unit without the spinning platters to me is completely nonsense, because for simple midi commands you can use any other cheap bcd unit e.g

    @bexleydurden
    please post your .tks. i would like to test it with my 3700.
    thanx!

    cheers
