Hello, i'm new here so i guess i should introduce myself first.
I'm Martin, 41 year old from the Netherlands.
Been playing guitar and composing for about 27 years now and for the last 3 years trying to record and produce my own music.
Still in the learning phase on that though!

I'm going to buy either a 88 key weighed keys midi controller OR a fullsize digital piano with midi control functions soon now.
I have an ancient EMU Xboard 49 which is the only midi controller i ever had.
It's quite good as a midi controller actually because it has aftertouch, 16 knobs, 2 wheels and alot of function buttons, and still works flawless on Windows 10 even though i bought it when Windows ME (yuck!) was the latest version.
But i want to learn to play proper piano so 49 light plastic knobs is not going to help me with that.

The KK S88 was on top of my list but after some googling around on forums i'm having doubts.
Maybe you guys can help me decide.

    - i have read there's virtually no Reaper integration.
I don't know what that means exactly and what it can do with other DAW's that it can't with Reaper? If it's going to be buggy and crash alot i will pass on the KK.

    - I was hoping there would be learning programs that would work with the guide lights but from what i read there are none available yet, and setting it up with Synthesia is not working for everyone also?

    - How is the keybed compared to digital piano's like Roland, Kawai, Yamaha or Casio in the same price range? If the Reaper integration isn't going to be better as with any midi compatable digital piano/keyboard they might just be a better choice?

    - I have no need for the Komplete select bundle, unless i upgrade it to the Standard version for 500 bucks. i have all the (comparable)software i need allready installed on my computer. Is it still worth the money?

    Thank you.

I couldn't make it work. It works as a keyboard just fine in reaper (+pitch and modulation), but it seems that you can't map the buttons. :(

You should be able to, this is a Mark 1 keyboard so MCU mode works in most hosts including Reaper.
