Hey there, hey Kaiwan @ NI I purchased a brand new maschine MK3 for my son as a xmas gift today. Unfortunately all my laptops run Monterey. I found out about the compatibility issue just lately.

When you are saying. "We are conducting systematic tests with macOS Monterey in order to offer full compatibility of our software and hardware products as soon as possible."...

Does that mean I can setup the device and start trying out the software or is not running totally at the moment. If that is the case, can I expect the compatibility before xmas". Thanks and best

 

Still can't open Traktor, is there a way to block the popup for beatport ?

 

Hi Tim! Happy to let you know that Maschine is now Monterey compatible. Our product team just announced that today. The latest version (2.14.6) is now available to download from Native Access. Note that if your laptop is an M1-powered Mac, you still have to use it with Rosetta 2. Hope your son enjoys the xmas gift. what a cool gift!

Sorry to break the mood but for Traktor:
I tried to disable multi-processing at the umpteenth opening which did not hangs.
It seems to work, now Traktor launches every time, and skip the beatport windows as asked.
I try to use my Traktor Kontrol S2 MK2, it works one time out of 4, totally random. Sometimes the controller is recognized, sometimes it doesn't turn on, sometimes it turns on as if it was recognized but is not taken into account.
I tried to import my settings, Traktor hangs at each opening now with "updating settings files".

Edit : in fact, it hangs everytime i try to use my Traktor S2 !

I've been trying to get Traktor to work under Monterey for 3 weeks.

For me the software is not supported for Monterey !
What is the point of having such machines if you can't use the mutliprocessor, if you can't keep your settings from an old machine, if you can't use a dedicated controller?

I'm starting to lose patience, and I'm very annoyed that I can't get direct help from NI, the forums are not enough.

 

After one hour of trying, Traktor hangs everytime I start my controller, List of controller in the settings don't provides anytthing now, it's just empty... This is crazy, I'm getting mad

 

I try to reboot my computer, and guess who's back ? The beatport windows, and it hangs again !
I can tell you : ABSOLUTELY NOT supported !

After a lots of reboot / re-install it seems to be working (not at all, I still can't enable parallel processing).

Can you confirm that this is still the way to do a collection migration ?

 

Hey Xavier, unfortunately I'm not a Traktor specialist, you will have more luck in the Traktor user forum or you can also ask our Traktor support agents.

 

I *do* hope Kontakt is moments away from native M1 support. Most of my composing rig revolves around it. New MBP is less than a week away from delivery.

 

I too hope Kontakt is a priority. I lost my iMac last week and just bought a new Mac mini. Feeling very lost without my sound pallet. I get why this happens though.

 

Having the same issue with library installation failing from native access... Getting "Unknown error occurred" or occasionally "An error occurred while running the installer". Access has full disk access. Super frustrating as the new m1pro/max macs all ship with Monterey by default
