OK, so I am here after looking at some samples on the Spitfire Audio page which use Kontakt 6. My question is whether your intention with regard to your Monterey announcement at the top of the page is to have Kontakt running on Apple Silicon natively, or just in Rosetta mode? I am sincerely hoping it is the former, as frankly Apple announced its transition to Apple Silicon on June 22, 2020, and provided M1 Mac Minis to developers to make the transition 5 months in advance of these machines being made available to the public. I am an Apple developer, and updating my apps to support Apple Silicon was trivial. I understand that audio apps are quite complex and often depend on third party libraries that are not updated as frequently as one would like, but here we are at the end of 2021 and Kontakt is still running using Rosetta? Rosetta functionality is going to ultimately be removed from the OS... it is not a permanent solution.

Just a heads up: recent Apple release of Monterey 12.1 broke the drivers for Komplete Kontrol S61 & Komplete Kontrol. Not sure about anything else NI, but this one is bad - MIDI dropping in and out, KK plug locking up etc. Dreadful Apple practice re. customers & 3rd party as usual, tho' did not really expect to find this on a point update. Rolled back to macos 12.01 and everything works as it did before.

Hey profdraper, we couldn't reproduce the issue on our side with 12.1. Are you using a mk1 keyboard or a mk2, do you have a M1 processor ?

Hello, I've just reinstalled Traktor Pro 2 (actually had to pay and update to Pro 3?! ) on the new 14' Macbook Pro with the M1 Max chip
Looks like I didn't have to install Audio 2,4,6 as I did previously on my Windows 7 years ago. The problem I'm having is that the software freezes very often. When trying to analyze new playlist the freezing happens. When you load track on the A, B, C or D it doesn't allow you to play it all the time.
The play button goes live when pressed but the track doesn't start. Then when the track is playing it freezes and you can hear the track but nothing moves on the screen and you need to force quit the app. I am with the 12.1 Monterey and waiting for 3.1GB update from Apple. Just too slow to download. Hopefully NI and Apple get this fixed quickly :) Happy playing!

    I'm using S4 MK2 and MB Pro 14' M1 Max 32GB RAM 10 Core 1TB

It is lovely to see that 10 products are already supported on Monterey. The last update was December 10th - Would it be possible for you guys to say when Kontakt will be on that list? Doesn't have to be exact, only do you plan 2 weeks, 1 month or so, or maybe before Christmas? :D

On my new Macbook M1 Max I need to start installing soon around 3 TB of Kontakt libraries. Instead of not using at all, I am fine with Rosetta, but would feel much better to install on a version that is supported on Monterey

    Thanks guys :)

Kontakt seems to be the only product on my m1 mac / Monterey that won't work well at this point. Very slow loading of projects and overall worse performance than intel macs. I can load many more instances of products from other companies compared to my old intel mac. The issue is I have spent a lot of time and money on Kontakt libraries - installing, learning, creating templates, etc. So I would love to just ditch it but it's not really possible. So I'm really just waiting for this one product to catch up. Other people who own an m1 mac w Monterey: can you either tell me how to use Kontakt 5/6 on this computer or chime in here please?

Are people still having issues with komplete keyboards and logic daw control functions? M32 specifically. Or is it just me?

    Hey there,
If you're on Monterey and have problems with Komplete Kontrol in Logic, first of all, if you have a M1 processor, make sure to run Logic in Rosetta mode. Alos check that both Logic and Komplete Kontrol have Full disk access in your mac's system preferences, under Security & Privacy.
If you still have issues after that, please get in touch here: http://bit.ly/NIsupport_KKontrol

I don't know where else to put this question but I have a problem with Battery 4.2.0 on Pro Tools 2021.12 on Monterey. Well, the problem exists on Big Sur and Pro Tools 2021.10, so I don't think it's a compatibility issue. Basically I can't move the sliders, with a trackball mouse or regular mouse. It's like there is a competing force going against the direction I want to move them.. If I try to drag a slider down.. something is trying to push it up... like a magnet or something. Then when I release the slider it goes back to default. Same thing with knobs. I can't figure out how to revert back to the previous version of Battery 4..

I just ordered a new Mac-mini with the Intel Chip set. It's going to come with Big Sur or Monterey, I asked if they could ship it with Catalina (so it had full NI support). I was told 'new Macs cannot run software older than Big Sur'. Yikes. I can understand that for M1 chip versions but not Intel. So what do I do? Install NI on my new Mac and hope for the best? Or attempt a downgrade to Catalina anyway? Surely I'm not the only person buying a new Mac and also running NI. Looking for advice.

dmcgee444 I think NI is fully compatible with Big Sur, so no need for Catalina. May I ask, why you buy a 3 year old hardware which won't be supported pretty soon? The M1 chip is fantastic (works with Big Sur as well on the Mac Mini, and 2-3x faster than your "new" bought hardware.

I ordered the Intel chip specifically because of the lack of M1 being officially supported by NI. I doubt the performance difference between M1 and Intel will be an issue in my application even after M1 is supported.

How can M1 & Monterey support for Kontakt not be a priority? 2 years, and still no M1 support. Is this a planned obsolescence for the product? Disappointed…frustrated…angry I bought the full v Kontakt. The single most impressive advancement in computer performance with the M1, and the most widely used virtual instrument software is incompatible. Ugh Terrible failure for customer satisfaction. Not even an update on the NI status page for a month.

I just wonder Native Instruments having many many customers I guess and not communicating to them besides the (out)dated Statement of 10 dec.
It would be amazing to hear something like ' guys, we're working on it', 'getting close but still fighting the breaky breaky code', Informing makes people happy and is very simple and easy to do!

    The products though are amazing:)

Yes Yes Yes. Please, NI…let us know you are close. Get engineering to knock it out asap. At least make a beta available.

Kaiwan @ NI - Happy new year!

Can you please provide any update on:
    1. M1 Macs - how is the native compatibility going?
    2. Monterey compatibility - how is the progress on this going? I would love to at least upgrade my Intel Mac OS this year.

I hate to hound you on this, but as other posters have said above - even the most basic "progress update" would help this situation.
Is there any way you or your team could provide these? Thank you.
