ok example : i have a 20 second sample assigned to a pad... i decide to chop into 16ths and 'apply to' group... now that sample is assigned to 16 pads in another group.... even though each pad only plays selected parts of the sample the entire sample is assigned to all of the 16 pads--just with different start/end points...

how does this effect my cpu and memory usage ?

am i now using (16 samples x 20 seconds =) 5 minutes and 20 seconds worth of samples ? or is Maschine recalling different parts of one sample (therefore i am using only 20 seconds of samples) ?

if im not being clear here let me know... thanks..

As far as I know you're just using 20 seconds.
