Let's just have regular old copy and paste of any pattern to any scene. 'Duplicate' sucks. Why should I have to deal with patterns or scenes being moved every time I duplicate? Just let us paste stuff where we want, how we want. The fact that we don't have copy and paste in right-click context menus is just silly. This is the one area in which I wish Maschine was more like a regular DAW. ArrangIng in Maschine for me at least, is counterintuitive and the manual and tutorials are not helping. Maybe it's easier with Maschine Studio but I have mk 1 and the 2.0 software. I don't feel the need to be able to arrange in the controller. I just want more conventional arranging ability in the software. I want to be able to grab a pattern in the scene area and paste it into another scene AND have it be independent of the pattern it was copied from. As of now, for me Maschine is powerful groove builder only, not a song arranging tool.

I actually prefer the idea of the Pattern Manger being opened by right-clicking in the arranger (for the relevant group and scene). Though along with the return of the pattern tabs from 1.x. This would make arranging so much quicker and easier again. Plus, getting the same result as copy/pasting would still only take two clicks per "paste". Would be win-win for me.

There is intuitive ways to get rid of the mouse and there is removing standard ways of working just to be different, the latter is the arranger right now and it is near to useless.
CTRL+Drag to copy and paste a new instance (Is it really that hard to do or even a bad idea)
Just one of a whole slew of standard ways of working that people expect in any software (The software itself does not always have to be governed by limits of the hardware)

We have seen this 'Different for the sake of it' attitude with Reaper and so on, and all that happens is users find ways to work in the original 'better' way, eventually forcing the developers to implement the original nay correct way of working.

I made a suggestion a while back in a similar vein. I would like to see the ability to freely arrange any pattern anywhere. I look at Maschine and I see so much potential, but because of the way the arrangement functions work I only use Maschine as a scratch pad and loop creator and I just drag the samples into Reason.
