    Hi,
I finally got around to creating Multi's for the majority of the Symphony Series instruments I use, and then Keyswitching via Articulation ID (godsend). This allows me to access all of the articulations in the various sub-patches (Sustains, Staccatos etc) of which some weren't available in combi patches or had limited control via GUI.

I am wondering what peoples approach to using the Modwheel across multi's with different MIDI channels is. Because I use several MIDI channels per multi (1 per Articulation group usually (short, long, effects, etc)), the Modwheel data is written to the relevant MIDI Channel in the Automation lane (CH.1 Modulation, CH.2 Modulation etc). It writes and plays back the the automation as it should, but when it comes to editing to data it's all starting to look quite confusing, and when I select MIDI Channel>Any from the Automation menu it displays nothing.

Is there a way to edit the Automation lane so that there is just a single lane of Automation data that will affect every MIDI channel in the multi?
    Cheers,
    Tom

This is really up to each individual DAW and options they offer...

Thanks for your reply, I’m working on Logic X. I’ve searched through Mix options but can’t see anything relating to bundling up a certain Automation’s data into a single lane?

I am not a Mac/Logic user so cannot help you there. But you should be able to somehow filter the MIDI data...
