    Hi,

I'm trying to connect my Minilab to Komplete Kontrol.
I have the Minilab ticked in the MIDI section of preferences.
I have used the MIDI learn button and moved the knobs accordingly.
The instruments in Kontrol detect the correct knobs but only move from 0 to 10 (full) and nothing inbetween. I can't make small changes.

    Any ideas?

Sounds like your Arturia is sending relative CC messages, in which case set the KK midi assignments for the knobs to 'relative'. They default to 'absolute'

Ok great, thanks. I've had a look for that setting but can't find it.

Go into Komplete Kontrol standalone, go top right and click on the midi icon, and you should then see the knobs and assignments. It auto saves btw, so just try changing the knobs to relative mode and see if that works for you.

Hi, I think I'm in the right place but this is what I see -

Can't see 'Relative' or Absolute' anywhere. I tried this with a Novation controller and it works fine. Trouble is, that keyboard is a bit big for my current environment.

Ah.... hmmf, ok, seems third party devices are not given half the options that S-series keyboards get which is a little restricting.
Ok, i'm unsure if you're able to do this 'under the hood' in Komplete Kontrol, so can you use the Arturia software to create a KK template and edit your encoders so that they transmit 'absolute' values?

EDIT - actually, it looks like one of the presets should output absolute values. Can you check what preset you're using? https://www.arturia.com/faq/minilab/minilab-first-use

Thanks for looking into that for me. I've set it to Factory Preset #1 in the Arturia Midi Control Centre and it now works. Previously I had it set to preset #8 which is set up for Ableton.

Thanks very much for your help :)

Could you elaborate a bit about the layout you've set up, meaning which buttons did you map to which controls and are you able to navigate KK with just the Minilab ? I'm trying to decide between the NI M32 and the Minilab MK2 mainly for KK purposes - oc i would go with the M32 but that requires me to upgrade to Windows 10 which i want to avoid if possible. Thanks !
