Attempting to record a mix from Numark Omni Control / Traktor LE, only getting PFL?

I've tried in numerous ways to record from the 2nd output on the Numark omni control.

First of all to my USB soundcard and recording through Audacity, no signal unless either of the PFL buttons are pressed.

Then to a 2 channel mixer, THEN into the USB sound card, same result.

I then thought it must be to do with my soundcard being occupied by traktor, so tried going from the 2nd output into the soundcard of a separate laptop, but with the same result!

It's as if whatever I do, only my headphone signal is being recorded. I may be fairly new to this but I'm fairly tech savvy and i'm baffled. Any help is much appreciated.

it's not possible to set the "main" and "monitor" hardware output of the Omni control (or any other SC) to the same audio stream of traktor (main output).

what may help you is a Y-cable with one "in" and two "outs" of RCA jacks to split the Main out from the Omni control - this is not the gentle way but it works and nearly every electronic store got this stuff.

and then you can made an external recording of (exactly) what you hear.
