Audio 10 - Multicore Cables

Do you still require multicore cables with an audio 10, or does Direct Through eliminate this?

Well it depends. I like using the line/phono switch on the mixer, so I still use them

 

so the audio 10 is now like a rane interface when using cdjs, where by you can use timecode without multicore cables?

 

It is better to get multicore cables or splitter if your are using Turntables. Because phono direct thru mode signal level is very low. Check below thread:

it has always been like this - the Audio 8 happily worked without multicores, and you could play vinyl using the 'thru' option

 

Hey Volk,
At the end of that thread the original poster declared that the Audio10 was working as designed. The direct thru mode drops a bit of gain to make sure that there aren't overloads in other areas.

I still use my multicores. Way easier than all those RCAs and the ones that come with TSP2 are too short.

I am planning to get splitter rather than multicores. Is it the same solution I guess?

 

I got my splitters, now everything is fine.

 

Hey guys - I purchased some multi core cables out of pure ignorance. Should I keep them? Is the advantage if you are using turntables?
