Audio 4 DJ on Ubuntu (for audio playback)

    I just installed Ubuntu 10.04 x86-64 (release candidate). My A4DJ is detected and configured out-of-the-box.

    Music playback works. However, every three seconds or so there is a loud and extremely annoying crackle/clicking noise (on whichever is the active output channel). This makes the A4DJ pretty much unusable.

    It appears a few people here on the NI user forums got their A4DJ working with Ubuntu. Any suggestions how I get rid of the crackling? (Btw, I had the same issue on Ubuntu 9.10 x86-64.)

    Ubunti is not a supported OS im afraid.
    If someone can answer thats cool but NI dont support the OS officially.
