audio 8 and kernel panic with new macbook air mid 2013

please can u release a firmware for the audio 8 and new macbook air, every time i connect it, the mac turns down the audio interface, goes off and restarts alone. me and various genius tried with several new macs, so the problem most probably is the driver , i changed the logic board but nothing
please fix this problem

My Audio8 has got useless with the new Macbook Airs - it kernel panics every time as soon as i connect it! There has to be a driver updates ASAP!

 

I have the same problem with MacBook air 2013 and audio 8 dj too.

 

Driver updates may not fix it, it might be that the A8DJ is simply incompatible with the latest Intel USB3 chipset. AFAIK the A8DJ cannot easily be firmware upgraded, another reason for people to move upto a TA6 or TA10, both now class complient so drivers are less of an issue.

If any of you are familiar with the Apple Kext system, have you tried (re-)moving the USB3 Kext so that you ports default to USB2 spec? This seemed to work for the S4 (and other soundcards from various manufacturers) a while ago when USB3 first made it to the Mac.

hi, have the same problem. would a new audio interface like audio a10 fix the problem? does anybody know if it is the same problem with macbook pros of the new generation?

 

New Traktor Audio 6 and 10 does NOT have that problem.
I tryed both with my MacBook Air mid 2013 and no problem. I bought TA10.
(You can still sell the old Audio 8 DJ, there are plenty people, who will buy it more than 75€.)
