Audio 8 DJ / Traktor - Channel issue

    Hi,

Im using the Traktor software (S4 version) on my mac. Normally I use the Traktor S4 Controller. Sometimes I would like to DJ without having to bring the S4 controller (but maybe just use the somewhat smaller Traktor X1 controller). To be able to play music through more than one channel of the main mixer (channel 1 left and channel 2 right), I have bought the Audio 8 DJ soundcard.

THE PROBLEM: When I play a track on deck A in the Traktor Software, the music plays on BOTH channel 1 and 2 on the main mixer. The same happens when I play a track on deck B: the music plays on BOTH channel 1 and 2 on the main mixer. This means that I am not able to mix at all, because when I play on both decks, the music plays out simultaneously.

I assume this is due to Audio 8 DJ connection issues; that I have not been able to dedicate deck A (Traktor) to channel 1 (main mixer) and deck B (Traktor) to channel 2 (main mixer). In the Traktor software, I have chosen Audio 8 DJ as the Audio Setup. But in the Output Routing, the only output mode is INTERNAL. I would assume that the output mode should have been EXTERNAL, and that I should have been able to assign the two decks to various channels (left/right).

Looking forward to receiving some useful guidance.

I dont know if it will works ( i havent try it) but i think looks ok, (but doesnt looks the best ).
So try if your have a mixer to use external (2 lines in your mixer) and then choose from "down arrow" ''internal play back'' and then try to use X1 as a midi controller to control your decks.

    Output to external

The output mode should be in external that is correct, but in your case you don't have the option right?

I use the Kontrol S4 with the latest version 2.1.3 with no problems, so if you can update your Traktro Kontrol s4 version to the latest Traktor 2, I believe you should be able to route for external mode. I have never used the Kontrol S4 version, since I already own the TSP version.
