    Hi,

My audio 8 has been working flawlessly with my current system for over a year now, until 2 days ago :\

I plugged in my audio 8 one day (like i do every other day) and the little driver software box in windows comes up in the bottom left corner, suddenly telling me that my Audio 8 DJ WDM Audio is unplugged.
The device itself sits there with the USB light blinking.

I havent touch any major drivers on my system for a few months now so I cant think of any reason as to why it would just suddenly stop working, My audio channels cannot be selected within the windows playback devices (they simply just do not appear).

I tried updating the Audio 8 drivers, no luck. I've tried restoring windows to a previous date (where i knew it worked 100%) but no luck. I've then tried reformatting my PC and installing everything fresh, including an ancient copy of Audio 8 drivers, and still no luck. I've tried using different USB cables and trying different ports (USB 3 and 2) and still no luck...

    I'm out of options :(

Any ideas how i can get some form of error report or diagnostics report up so tech's can have a look for a solution?

    Cheers all!
    Brad

Has anyone else experienced this? It's annoying as I any use my device - and I'm wondering whether or not it's finally packed it in :(

    Hi

I have experienced something similar yes however when I connect my Audio 8 sound card and open Traktor, Traktor will say that my Audio 8 card has been disconnected, not as in your case where Windows doesn't pick it up. Maybe the USB port / connection has been compromised inside the sound card?

Try installing on another machine. If you get the same problem then its definitely the sound card and the sound card would need to be repaired.

Maybe you can help me with an issue pls seeing as your setup worked perfectly before?

My Audio 8 card driver installs perfectly, Traktor installs perfectly. When I play tunes in Traktor via onboard sound (Realtek) then tunes play fine but as soon as I switch to Audio 8 in Traktor then the track grinds to a complete halt, no sound plays and the track moves at like a tick every 3 seconds.

    Thanks for the reply!

Yeh I've tried it on multiple machines and have come to the decision that its finally dead :(

I bit the bullet and purchased a Audio 10 - which I'm very happy with :)

    thanks once again!

Sell the broken Audio 8 on ebay, it's still worth some decent money.
