    Hi everyone.

I have a very annoying problem in Traktor 2, which I can't see any previous post in this forum on (correct me if I'm wrong..).

I recently bought a Denon MC-6000 controller and hooked it up with Traktor LE that came with the product. No issues here, I can mix between two decks without any other issues then the annoying limitations in the LE version.

When I activated my Traktor LE I got another serial sent out to me for installing Traktor 2 LE (downloaded Traktor 2 pro as the link stated, but the serial makes it LE). But now everything sounds distorted and especially/mostly the base sounds, I'm pretty novice in DJ:ing but I think this is what usualy is called clipping.

Any way I now have two LE versions of Traktor installed, if I use the "old" one that came with my denon controller, everything soudns perfect. But when I use Traktor 2, sound is distorted/clip's.

This goes for all channels (master?), even in the headphones so it's not the speakers or audio cable, which also explains why it works in one version of Traktor but not the other.

The first second or two of the track sounds good even when using Traktor 2, but when the analysis of the track has completed I get some sort of beat match error (red bar at bottom of Traktor window) and sound starts to clip.

Same track sounds perfect in old version of Traktor!

Have tried in Traktor 2 pro also, same issue as in Traktor 2 LE.

I'm tearing the hair of my skull here.. please help me before I go completely bold! ;)

    Thank you in advance,
    /Robert

Hi Tom, and thanx for your answer.:)

It actually helped alot when changing the latency, but I diden't increase it, I decreased it.

I now have it set at it's minimum level, it wont go lower (88Sample(1ms)), this is the level where it sounds almost right... if I was a club DJ I woulden't take to a club an performe.. but the crackling sounds are much less frequent, but as I said not perfect.

my latency is about 5 ms and i have no single glitch or plop sound..
at 1 ms your computer has alot to do with realtime ausio processing.

Did you made all the optimizations for windows machines (I guess your not on mac)?
Set every power managements to "high eprformnce" deactivate the "ACPI Battery mode" and turn off WiFi, Bliuetooth and anti virus software.

I actually think this has been solved now! :)
I have updated everything updateable on my computer, including BIOS, graphic drivers, sound card drivers, wireless drivers etc. Then disabliling everything I don't use (which i quite alot when you really look in to it..).

It aslo seem like I can keep the latancy at whatever level I like now. Which is good!

But I still don't get why it would be such a huge difference between Trektor LE and Traktor 2 LE though... Is the latter one really that much heavier on your machine?

But any how - thank you Tom - much appreciated! You really saved my summer! :)

PS I see that you are using Traktor 1.2.7 yourself, is that old habbits die hard, or is it due to some other reason?

    Cheers

    you're welcome ;-)
hope you'll having fun with the software

I started "traktoring" with the Traktor Studio 3 version years ago.
Then Traktor Pro launched - the first versions had many bugs and i'm a "mister play it save" so I was still on T3 until Traktor Pro was rock solid (for me since V 1.2.4)

Now I got the 1.2.7 and I never ever had a glitch, fail or something bad on a party.
Today I don't need the new features of Traktor Pro 2, so I have enough time to wait for Traktor Pro 2.2.7 ;-)
