try disabling multi-core support in Traktor, also disable Wifi, run from mains power, stop all other applications, restart laptop then start Traktor, don't plug any other USB devices except Audio6 and X1 into your Macbook, don't use an USB hub, use the left USB port for your Audio4DJ, try without the X1 to see if it solves things, when starting Traktor change the latency to another value before moving back. 256 for latency should be perfectly doable btw. Good luck!

Hey olafmol! Chris here! so far so good till now! I ve replaced first of all my old rca cables on the Traktor Audio 6 card, and then i ve changed the latency setting to 256 from 512 , as you advised me.Its my fourth gig till now and i have no issues(crossed my fingers). Thanks again for your quick reply and support.

happy to hear this! Good catch about the RCA cables, sometimes a dodgy audio connection or cable can indeed cause all kinds of crap. BTW, about latency, you should be able to run fine on 256, the thing is to start Traktor, then move the latency up or down from 256, and then back to 256. This will reset the Mac OSX audio driver buffer (or something like that) which can help to avoid hiccups.
