I've been Googling all night and cannot find a way to do this on Windows.

Please take special not that I am not trying to record input channels. They will be filled with a mic and a guitar. I want to record what is being sent on line out 1 and 2.

I have tried Audacity, SoundLeech, routings in Abelton, etc.

In the end, I need Windows to have a recording device listed for them. From what I can tell other products usually have a mixer appear there.
I read in a thread here from 2008 (which is locked) that there was a sound mapper application. It is mentioned in the video. Yet it does not appear in the downloads list. Where is it?

Any other advise to get this working would be great. In the end, I want to create tutorial videos and record the sound I hear on my speakers, without having to record a "nariration" track, a results track, a here is me making settings track, and having to mix them all in video software. I just want the viewer to hear what I hear as if he is sitting next to me.

    Which thread exactly?
Posting the link to this particular thread as well might be helpful.

Otherwise, you can check out 'Virtual Audio Cable' mentioned in these threads:

Hit both of those links 6 hours ago.

Virtual Cable is not a solution because if you route output to it then you can no longer hear any sound yourself. Hearing the sound yourself is fairly important if you are trying to show someone how to edit a sound in Massive :p

I also tried Gforce Shadowplay, Audacity, Total recorder, and a thousand other "sound capture" softwares.
Nothing is going to record anything that doesn't show up in the recordable devises list in Windows.

Do any of NI's sound interfaces have a recordable sound mixer? It's time to upgrade anyway.

In Ableton Live, did you also try using 'Resampling' ?:

I don't know how your setup looks like, but might a screen-capturing software, which can also record the audio, be a possible solution?
As example, something like Camstudio ...

As far as I know, no.

If you haven't already, you can also contact NI support about this.
