Audio Kontrol 6 vs Traktor Audio 2 for Traktor?

Hi, I want to buy an audio interface to enable me to output left and right traktor decks to external mixer (OR route traktor output and headphones to different outputs using internal mixer).

I was going to buy traktor audio 2 as this will enable me to do this but... I also use mac for music production so thinking may as well get the audio kontrol 6 which has inputs, MIDI and digital i/o too.

My question is can I use audio kontrol 6 in exactly same way as traktor audio 2 or do I need them both? Is there anything traktor audio 2 can do that kontrol audio 6 can't?

The only things the Audio 2 has that the Komplete Audio 6 does not are independant volume dials for its two outputs, and the ability to drive two sets of headphones at once.

 

Thanks Makar, I picked one up today and works perfectly with traktor - either into external mixer or internal. I assume it has same audio quality as dj interfaces? Do you know this? thanks.

 

I think they use very similar DACs for all their interfaces, so quality should be very similar.

The KA6 has the benefit of having balanced outputs which can help reduce interference for longer cable runs if what you're connecting to has balanced inputs to match.
