How can I get audio notes from the Xl to the sequencer?

do you just wat to Sample Audio from the Microkorg?

or do you:

• want to Record a MIDI Note Sequence into Maschine - using the Microkorg keyboard,
• have that sequence play a Microkorg Sound, and
• then Sample that Sound in Maschine?

is your Microkorg xl connected to your Computer with a USB cable?

make sure that, that it is On in your Maschine Audio.MIDI settings.

or plug a MIDI cable from your Microkorg xl into the Maschine Controller MIDI Input.

I have it connected with the USB cable and is showing in the Audio & MIDI settings but they are off. How can I turn it on?

 

click and hold down your cursor on the off, you should then see a dropdown giving you a choice of On or Off, choose On.

I can see the MIDI notes on the sequencer but can't hear them? What I'm missing?

your settings look okay.

you should be able to use your Microkorg to play Sounds in Maschine.

try loading a Bass Patch - such as Analog Classic A - make sure the loaded sound is highlighted and play your keyboard.

It works!

But is there a way to get the actual sound from the XL instead of a patch?

 

that is more complex.... you will need to plug another MIDI cable from the Maschine into your xl. you also need to choose MIDI Out in the SRC Tab.

if you want to hear the xl Audio, that will have to be routed to your Computer and you will need to choose Input in another Sound slot. then you will need go into Record Mode.

have a look at your Manual for more explanations.
