no, not a module, but there are some macros that can do audio to pitch. but they are not really good and there's not really a way of making it any better.

no its not lame. yes, I'm sure...
if you want guitar > midi, then buy a Axxon midi converter.
Audio to midi is a very complicated thing to do it right, and without fft algorithms and neural networks for recognition it is impossible to detect polyphonic sounds (like a guitar).

Get midi pickups for your guitar.

As an owner of a few MIDI guitars over the past few years I have some advice on getting your guitar to control a synth.

I first tried the Roland pickup route, but the tracking was not what I considered usable as it took too much effort to play in a manner that would reliably trigger the synth. My playing sounded un-natural.

A year ago I got a Godin LGX/SA electric with piezo acoustic/synth pickups (uses the RMC pickups/preamp). This system tracks really well, but occasionally is 'glitchy'.

In the fall I got a Godin Multiac Grand Concert - Nylon string electric. This baby is a synth-controller god! It requires no adaptation of playing style to reliably trigger a synth. In addition playing with a classical or fingerstyle technique (think Chet Atkins) really works well with a synth. Loose the pick, and grow some nails.

If you can handle a classical style guitar the Multiac's are the best MIDI guitar controller I've found - by a long shot.

You could also try Melodyne. Apparently it is pretty good - nothing to do with Reaktor though ... but nice reviews.
