i did not installed the au plug yet.
but what the hell do they mean by that note? "Important note for Logic users:
When using Vokator in Logic 6.1 as an instrument plug-in, the side chain mode does not work - hence there is no audio input. Emagic confirmed that the cause of this issue can be identified within Logic 6.1 and will be fixed in the next subrelease of Logic 6.1. " no live signal?

 

you'll have to use it as an fx plug in the meantime I guess.

 

did you got logic now to start? what version of logic 6.1 plat?

is just a vokator.component which was installed under /library/audio/plugins?

 

Voaktor AU:

Makes Logic Crash if I have my emi 6|2 interface attached. Crashes on startup.

Doesn't include the FX version of Voaktor as far as I can see.

Doesn't accept live input on the instrument plug.

No indication of any of these problems in the docs.

jeez.

This makes Vokator totally useless except as a standalone instrument. I want the fx plugin at least!

 

I was truely too early with the congratulations to NI! so this make me really mad! we had to wait so long and now it's not even worth the download! i even grant emagic. i am not hoping this will go on like this for weeks... i really need it as a efx plug (audio track / live) and play the keys by midi over logic.

I got the crashing to stop by reinstalling vokator and the updater from scratch.

there is an FX plugin but ONLY ACCEPTS MONO INPUT. How is that useful?

AND even as a mono FX it doesn't seem to get any audio input anyway.

o.k this sound a lil better. so if you got an stereo-track inlogic you can't insert the efx-plug?
as a efx-plug is there any midi communication to play on the vokator keys?
do you know what i mean?

 

No you misunderstand me: as a mono plugin the plugin cannot 'hear' any audio input. At all. The FX plugin is useless and broken. Vokator cannot seem to process any audio at all no matter how you set it up.

I cannot imagine why they released this.

 

so, i did install the vokator au update and everytime when i open the vokator plugin logic crashes! i try now the same you did. installing the whole vokator again with all patches. *aargh*

 

still not working

after installing the whole vokator with the update 1.0.1 and the 1.0.2. au-plug update. still not working! the whole logic platinum 6.10 crashes still!

 

I wonder if we are just going to be f*cked again here. I posted a call to Tech Support, we'll see if they have anything to say.

 

i posted too a call to the tech support, we can compare the feedback...

 

How could this release possibly have been tested? Run through QA? After this long wait this is what we get? Unacceptable.

Hello Pete,

I am not sure why the Vokator is showing up on your mono audio channel, as it is not an FX plugin it will not work that way. The only possibility at this time is to insert it on an audio instrument insert and play it as an instrument. sidechaining audio to it is not possible at the moment. perhaps the way you are calling it up is causing the crash?!even though this is the incorrect way to set up voaktor. i have tested pulling it up on a mono audio track and it did not crash my machine. try it the way i have descrived and it should work. it does take some time to load (spinning color ball), don\'t confuse this with a crash.

BUT THIS ISN'T INCORRECT!

Vokator VST has two plugins: VoaktorFX and Vokator. The FX in an effect plugin.

Man! I'm so frustrated.

I didn't get a reply from tech Support and I posted my report earlier.

This just sucks.

 

I got my reply back from system support. It was nasty. They told me to please take the time to read the release notes and that there was no "FX" version of the plugin.

I did read the notes and there is an FX version. I really didn't like the tone of my message.

 

this is really frustrating even if you are using the vvokator as a standalone apllication over midi. but this is the only way to use the most of the interresting features. the customers got ripped!

alldo the apllication runs pretty well as a stand alone.
