Audio2 DJ as an default sound card on windows

Hallo,

I have search the forum and the tech specs of Audio 2 but still could not find a definite answer to this question.

I would like to have a simple sound card, which delivers quality sound, without any inputs/tunings. As Audio 2 DJ comply to this conditions, I would like to buy it if it can be used as an external sound card.

can some one answer my questions and give some steps for the configuration on the PC.

Yes. Audio2 DJ, Audio4 DJ, Audio8 DJ can be used as default sound card on any laptop or computer.

 

is this described in the owner's manual how it should be configured?

are there any hints I should follow?

the easiest way would be to disable your internal sound chip from teh bios, and boot your Laptop with the audio 2 connected..

 

i get no sound from my audio 2 dj outside traktor.
plus in my bios there is no option for disabling the internal soundcard.

 

You must set it as your default sound card in WINDOWS.

Hi I am having precisely the same problem! Did you ever work out how to get all the PC's sounds through the Audio 2 DJ? I am running Traktor Duo on Windows 7 32 bit on an ibm X60s laptop which has a Soundmax Integrated Digital HD Audio onboard soundcard. I've tried things like disabling the soundmax card as well as switching default audio as per the Audio DJ mannual. Nothing works. AAAAARGH!

Try changing the sample rate of A2DJ from 44100 Hz-16 bit to 48000 Hz-24 bit.

 

you're amazing. it works! I am sooooo grateful. clearly I am not as tech savvy as i hoped. my music technology knowledge is 15 years out of date! The last time i was in control of a mixing desk was my university music department! thank you so much
