    Hi,

When browsing samples, is it possible to audition them from the hardware interface? I know you can click the speaker icon in software, and then click on a sample, but it doesn't seem like the hardware controller can do this.

    Thanks,

    rob

    DIFFERENT ANSWER - yes !

All you have to do is allow the hardware to see the samples - TAG ! Or alternatively I am sure you can have the folder as a preference in your Maschine settings and it does the same thing.

This way you simply scroll through the file directory via the hardware - ;-)

I am in the club buddy, and yes you can - if you are at Maschine go and try it. It's not that difficult.

widowmaker are we talking bout the same thing, can you hear a sample before adding it to a pad? with the controller only?

i just apply 1 sound to the pad and then scroll yes. ok, granted, you have to add a sample 1st and then scroll with the arrows but yeah it works - slightly rudimentary as you have to add 1 initially but it's a workaround.

yea , i been doing that also, still would prefer to be able to press something on controller to hear the sample when layering my sounds, as at times i have all 16 pads filled out, and going between groups or simply +add and undoing is not straight forward.

I hear ya, still - it's an option that works until we have direct browsing.

This surprised me yesterday when I got maschine. I was like, how come I can't audition a sample before I load it. Weak sauce.

    NI, please fix this

I know it cant be done directly on the hardware, but using my laptop arrow keys auditions every sample fine. which is better than any work around involving pads swaps if the groups are all full.

I like the arrow key idea, it beats touching the mouse. Arrow keys are one step closer to moving away from the mouse. nice
