Authorization Problem

Man, this sucks. Has anyone else had this problem?

I send my authorization request & serial to NI and get back an authentication code within a few hours (from memory).

After pasting it into the Reg tool I get the message:
"Reaktor is successfully authorized
Now you can close the application."

When I start Reaktor however:
"Your systemconfiguration was changed.
Please use the Registration Tool in the application folder to register Reaktor."

If I repaste the auth code, I get the same thing.

So I try the 4.0.006 update, figuring this could be a bug.
Now I get:
"Authorization incomplete."

I've uninstalled R4 and reinstalled it and try to re-authorize. Same as before. Your sysconfig etc.....

But I do have another 30 days on it.

Am I the only one who would prefer a dongle system?

I have a killer ensemble in mind (don't we all?), but am very reluctant to start work if I can't get this damn thing to run.

Oh yeah, I'm running XP on a 2GHz P4 with 768Mb RAM, if that's makes any difference.

I emailed NI a couple of days ago, and no word ... not happy (I paid $1200 Australian for this thing, when I could have coded it in something else for free.)

 

The 4.01.006 update is Mac only-there's your authorization incomplete.
As for the"Your system configuration has changed"routine,did you reinstall your OS,add RAM or anything like that?(or do a System Restore back to before you installed Reaktor,in XP's case?)Your configuration's changed-therefor the old regcode ISN'T going to work.Do as the prompt says and run your Registration Tool again.

My mistake, I meant yht 4.01.005 update for PC.

Anyway, I have changed NOTHING in my system since installing Reaktor. Have not upgraded ANY hardware or the OS for *6 months*.

When I try the reg tool again, it gives the same auth key, and again accepts the auth code sent to me by NI.

But Reaktor will still only run in 30-day mode.

but you best bet is to phone tech support, i emailed and emailed and emailed and still have heard nothing back

but i also started to phone tech support and was finally successful in getting it straightened out

It seems they are a bit swamped right now with the release of r4, sessions and Final Scratch

You will probably have to leave a message with tech support but they phoned back the same day as long as you get the message in soon enough in the day

I totally agree about the "Return Of The Dongle"

Who ever sold the idea of this reg system should be fired today
