Is there really no authorized fix to these 5.6 issues?

No. Wait for future updates or roll back to 5.5.2.

"These" issues? Which ones are you referring to?

5.6 was just released a matter of days ago. I'm sure NI is looking at all issues that users have reported and prioritizing fixes ASAP. You can always check the sticky thread at the top of this forum for their latest official word.

    Missing purge all.
Tiny unreadable fonts, missing option for bigger one.
    Poor visibility on keyboard colors.
    Other crashes and issues.

I'm glad I waited, staying on 5.5.2 until these are fixed.

My problem was error saying K5 was not installed on my system. I have now rolled back to 5.5.2 & am back in business. 5.6 seems to have an installation problem, far as I could tell.

Please also include 32 bit binaries with your builds again. Dropping 32 bit support in the middle of a minor version update hits unsuspecting users very hard (old projects no longer open).

This might help: Roll back to 5.5.2 and before reinstalling 5.6 (or later?) make a copy of the v5.5.2 plug-ins. That way, the 5.6 install will not remove / replace those copies. After the v5.6 install, copy the v5.5.2 32-bit plug-in back to its original name. You'll end up with v5.6 64-bit and v5.5.2 32-bit.

Did that already, but turned out to be not viable: 5.5 will not open files saved with 5.6. This will get you in trouble when you can afford it the least, that is, in the middle of a project when you need to save your work.
