Auto Cruise mode with Fade Out Marker, all tracks start 1 beat out.

    Hey all,

I like to use the Auto Cruise mode with Fade Markers and SYNC with the Auto Crossfade Timer set at 91secs to pre-listen to a set I'll play manually later in the week while I get on with something else.

This way I can check for key clashes, make sure the gains are all good and iron out any issues.

What I've found is that when Traktor comes to a Fade Out Marker, the other deck will wait for an extra beat before starting the deck, I've gotten around this by doing a little 1 bar beatjump forward on that deck, but that defeats the purpose of it being automatic as I have to nudge every track.

I've found this issue is the same on a couple of installations Win 7 and Win 8 and across the last few versions.

Anyone else notice this? Is there any setting I can change to have Auto cruise keep the timing I want, I don't want to move the Fade out markers as I use them as a visual queue when I play the set.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the reply, Freshfluke.

Under Transport > Beat Counter > Bars per Phrase it is set to 4. Is that OK?

I edited the OP to reflect that its not a whole bar out, just 1 single beat. Traktor Auto Cruise doesn't seem to be able to drop it on the 1. ;)

If I enable the "beats to cue" display option on both decks you can see that one deck will be at 1 beat less than the other, it's freakin' annoying. I like to get on with my work while cruising my playlist but this makes every transition sound like crap until I do a 1 beat beatjump. ;)

Yeah the markers are on a 1, when I watch it, I can see there is a slight latency as the Fade Out marker is passed and the next deck is started, this is where the 1 bar gap comes in.

I'm wondering if the "Auto Crossfade Time" exceeds the remaining track time it causes an issue, will test further.

    Thanks again for the reply!

shouldnt the out marker be on a 4?
another thing to check: is the beatmarker correctly set on a 1?

Hmm, I'm wondering about that now. Maybe that's the intended usage of a fade out marker? If I set them all on a 4 my live performance will be off. I still think it should start the next deck on the actual marker itself.

I manually check all my grids so the beatgrid is on a 1, have you or anyone else been able to reproduce this behaviour?

    I found a setting, under:

    Transport > Sync Mode

You have TempoSync or BeatSync, mine was set to TempoSync, testing with BeatSync at the moment.

So far the only thing that seems to fix is is having the Auto-Crossfade timer at 40 seconds or under, some dodgey maths in some code somewhere maybe?
