!Auto*matic*rec*ording!

The one feature I am really missing is an automatic record function to help save all the great spontaneous sets that are lost in the void when I am "just playing around, so I am not gonna press record right now".

I see that certain other dj softwares has something along those lines and I am slightly jealous )

Maybe you think it is a good idea too ...

 

do you want to have an audio track at the end of the session, or do you want to be able to memorize tracks that sound good together ?

Which programs have this feature?

Trakor had that way of recording in early software. Traktor studio had it. But it was not recording an audio file. It simply recorded all the movements and they were repeated and you could also edit them. I don't know why they removed it from their product.

I was referring to automatic recording of audio. Perhaps when detecting audio out on the master, and stopping at silence or maybe prompting the user whether or not to stop when silence is detected.

It's my impression that Rekordbox has this or a similar feature.

Traktor already memorizes tracks by saving the the history as a playlist – an awesome feature I am already grateful for.
