Implemented Auto-pattern Length...

I wonder if Maschine will eventually allow reference tracks.

I was thinking untill Maschine comes up with a way to program a beat spontaneously, eg without setting bpm, bars, or metronomes,
the only other way might be to use an audio reference track, and then you could work sponaniously with a 'beatbox' of the beat etc.

Its sad, here we are with all this technology and yet we are still waiting for this basic function. When NI? WHEN!

Was wondering how to do this earlier, disappointed to learn I'm not just ignorant/oblivious to it and that it isn't yet possible.

I just hope it’s not another seven years before another suggestion is adopted into the Maschine.

This one function has the potential to be a quiet game changer.

 

Do you know how Ableton lets you also record how you arrange your patterns?



This feature has a similar function, that lets you kind of record as you go

Both of these together would really dramatically change the workflow of the maschine user.

I know this request was completed, but I am unable to make a new thread here and I feel like it would make sense to extend this auto-grow feature to clips as well.

In fact it might even make more sense for clips since that makes a clip act more like a typical track in a daw where you can continuously record until you stop it. I believe that was the goal of the clips feature anyway, to make maschine able to work more like a full-fledged daw and less locked to pattern/scene.
