    Hi,
I have traktor scratch pro and since day 1, I analyse the tracks with autogain function on. I want to disable that function (I know how) but also for the analysed tracks.
So if I analyse again all my collection with autogain off will I get the unchanged gain structure to my music?
Or is there any other way to achieve that?
    Thanks

if "set autogain when loading track" is unchecked in preferences, traktor ignores the autogain values that were computed during track analysis.

    Thanks will try that.
Basically I noticed changes in sound quality with autogain on, that's why i want to do that.

probably you didn't allow for enough headroom. either turn down the main volume knob (in the traktor software, not on any external hardware) or set -6db (or -9db) headroom in Preferences -> Mixer

no no thats has nothing to do with that.
I have the master -9 already, it never goes to red the meter.
I use external mixer and 4 channels and the meters on the mixer are always fine.
I am talking about degrading in sound quality from the software with any sound card. I am 100% sure taht's the software's causing this.

alex, it's fine to turn autogain off and do the gaining yourself on your external mixer. but it is simply wrong to state that autogain degrades the sound quality.

for all practical purposes, traktor's headroom is huge (it is essentially infinite internally and very, very large even when going outside of Traktor considering you can set the DAC of NI audio interfaces to 24-bit). and given that autogain does nothing but change a track's volume, there is no degradation in the signal (again, for all practical purposes).

None has the same ears and perception of sound and music my friend.
For you it sounds right but for me not. :)

autogain does not degrade the sound quality at all. it is exactly the same as adjusting the gain manually and is constant for the whole track.

hitting the traktor limiter, or clipping the master output, WILL affect the sound quality.

mark all tracks -> edit -> change autogain to zero
