It would be great to have break-time facilities directly integrated, I've lost track of how many cups of tea have gone cold on me, while i've been noodling on Maschine

Swap the CD tray in your PC for a small heating element and stop blaming maschine!

Create a pattern that's 256 bars long (the longest that Maschine will let you go). Scroll all the way to the end and put in some unmistakeable sound. Once you've been jamming for too long on a different group the 256 bar pattern will play and you know its time to check your tea. Or just drink your tea when you make it.

Ha ha but Maschine is to blame, it's just so easy to get carried away on!

Despite its quirks and missing features, it is still the most hands-on and instantly playable thing I can think of...

You think its bad now? try making drum kits that encorporates a full octave from a scale on pads 9-16, and then the standard kick/snare/closedhh/openhh pattern on 1-8.
